Welcome to the funeral pal. I'm Chet, I lurk this page. The days of Kiwistation were great ones. It was the only ss13 server where hate crimes were encouraged, and catgirls were punished. For a time, we experienced pops in the 60s, but then our playerbase dwindled and the server came to a halt. Here we are now.

Bee is pretty simple if you're just getting started. It doesn't have the bad merges that /tg/ has made lately but most of the systems are the same. You can learn there and skills will be transferrable to a lot of different stations.

Try Goonstation, keep in mind that on there, you're not allowed to use slurs.

I second Bee, but warn against the Beestation cat girls, they run the server, so don't fuck with them.

Not just slurs, they have a zero-tolerance no cussing policy. MSO got banned from Goon for copypasting the tgstation rules because of the word "dick". And you can get banned for bombing an area that includes the pride clothes locker as antag (lol).

The fuck? So there's absolutely no fun allowed whatsoever on Goon anymore?

Do the admins ban themselves if they adminbus stationwide destruction then? Particularly on Ass Day? Or is Ass Day no longer a thing either because of the new rules?

The pride locker thing isn't a rule itself, it's a consequence of Goon's anti-bigotry policies. I'm not sure how many people got banned for this, but I know that the number is at least one. Admins obviously cannot be bigots because they're all fags.

Edit: Specifically the ban was for burning the pride locker (the bomb caused a fire).

Okay, so, admins can't commit bigotry because admin privilege, even if they adminbus and accidentally violate their own anti-bigotry policies.

But is Ass Day still a thing? Or did that get shitcanned too because of the "no cussing" policy?

Ass Day is still a thing, kinda. It's now called Ass Jam and it is less chaotic than usual with most of the server rules still being enforced (no griefing for example). Ass Day is still a thing though as you can vote it in at the start of each round, which usually does get voted in every other round.

Tbh I was never really homophobic, so I don't mind goon. The whole "no racist jokes" took me a while to adjust to. The whole "no sex jokes" took me a while to adjust to. The thing that I like about Goon is that the dialogue is very natural, and everyone is actually nice. The admins aren't perfect, but they're pretty understanding people.

Botany is also like 4000 times better than tg
Sec is usually good
There are adventure zones
The lizards are usually nicer
everyone is nicer
