Wait hold on this one's better. http://www.drachental.de/

Who here can translate German?
Anything you want translated in particular, or just a general idea of what this website is?

I clicked around and it's a bunch of dragon autists who write short stories and poems about dragons and other Fantasy stuff. Also found an "About" page, but it's just the site owner larping as "Marshdragon" and talking about how he's the only dragon to use the Internet, and also listing off different kinds of dragons that live in the "Dragon Valley" (which is the site's name).

They also inexplicably have a section where they warn kids about stranger danger and how to avoid getting abducted lmao.

Edit: Found this by searching "ass" lol
It's almost like a Kiwi Farms thread, about some dead forum of people who want to bang Sonic characters.

That part sounds hilarious.
Link, if you wanna throw it in google translate.
If you get locked in the trunk, try to destroy the taillights. As far as I know, they are actually always accessible from the inside of the trunk, often only covered by some plastic or rubber. You can pull out the cables that may only be attached. Or kick the lights vigorously several times.
If you're a little lucky, the police will stop the car because of the broken taillights and flashing lights. Now it should be easy for you to make yourself noticeable.

Or are you sitting in the front passenger seat? Even if your hands are tied, you can do something:
If your kidnapper is driving through a town or on a busy street, try to throw your whole upper body quickly between the driver and the steering wheel and press the horn for as long as possible (usually around the middle of the steering wheel).

Brings a tear to my eye, back when you had to actually make a website, the internet was alot more informative and interesting. (although I wish we had secure payment processors in those days)

Increasingly, modern search engines are becoming almost pointless as the places to find information are reduced down to perhaps a few dozen sites.

My entry, "*NaNcY*'s cat animation gallery":

That was already outdated by the time he posted that.

Newsgroups:
  • Large numbers of newsgroups, all containing little except thoughful on-topic posts by people who have read the newsgroup charter and FAQ, and who intend to read any e-mail that's in reply to their post, and who intend to also watch the newsgroup for followup postings. If they asked a question, and it's answered in e-mail, they will summarize the answers in a later posting onto the same newsgroup. If they are answering a question, they will check to see if someone else has answered it in the newsgroup, and if not they will answer by e-mail.

The last gasp of newsgroups were in the early aughts, and even in the late 90s they were being flooded with spam, which eventually killed them off as forums made usenet seem superfluous.

Government:
  • Governments should enforce existing laws against fraud, harassment, and theft of services. It should treat the net just like anything else. Actions don't become illegal on the net that aren't illegal elsewhere. Conversely, actions don't become legal on the net that aren't legal elsewhere. Neither does the net require any new laws.

He didn't foresee the rise of deplatforming, and the way it can spill into 'real life', which leads me to this:

News media:
  • Recognize that the net wasn't invented yesterday.
  • Recognize that the net is part of the real world, not something separate from it.

I have to say, on point 2, I miss the separation a bit. Yes, it was a NO NORMIES ALLOWED sign, but at least we didn't have CNN or MSNBC with specials dedicated to the threat of cartoon frog posters.
