Poor bob so clueless that a drafting certificate wouldn't get anybody anywhere. Oh and that an aa degree is mostly just used for transferring?

I imagine that's another artifact of Bob's age. I presume that, when Bob was young, having an AA and a certificate in a technical subject was a lot more useful for employment than it is today; to be fair, even now, Chris probably could have gotten an entry-level job with that CADD certificate, given a certain degree of skill, enthusiasm, and professional connections through his teachers. The problem is that Chris never really gave a crap about CADD, had little skill in it, and did everything possible to burn his bridges at PVCC, so... yeah.

Chris has mentioned a few times that Bob basically made him go for his drafting degree. Bob knew if he left Chris to his own devices he'd pick something stupid.
He did. He originally chose a degree in marketing before Bob made him switch to CADD.

For reasons unknown, even to Chris, he originally chose Marketing as his major. Bob quickly transferred Chris to the CADD track, probably considering it a more attainable goal for Chris, this being a time before Bob had completely given up on Chris as a functioning adult.

In the Jackie email used as a citation for that CWCki article, he says he chose Marketing as his major "out of confusion." I'd really like to know what happened there, besides the given of "Chris really didn't care about college, because you couldn't major in reading Goosebumps books and taking naps."

He, uh... he didn't think it was majoring in shopping, right? That's the dumbest concept, but this is Chris, after all.

More likely that he chose marketing because he thought it meant working in a supermarket, which is a nice, easy job for someone of his brainlevel.
So maybe Chris imagined himself sitting in an office, running his very own walmart store with a huge "Diploma of Supermarketing" on his wall behind him.

Chris has mentioned having a detective looking into the trolls on other ocassions. Was this:

1. A lie to intimidate the trolls,

2. A misinterpretation of the C-Ville police department saying that they'll, "Look into it,"

or

3. A lie Bob told Chris to get him to shut up about the trolls?

I'd water that down to either Chris meaning to do it, but never actually doing it because he has no idea how to do that, or Bob saying that Chris "can" do it so that automatically means it's been done and he just has to sit back and watch.

Before or after the local police knew Chris by name? The difference between a stock response and swatting off a pest.
If this was back during Ivy, Rocky and Barb and Bob were fighting over how to handle Joshua Martinez and the trolls. They had contact with cops at some point.

Chris thought that Rob Bell was whipping up lawsuits for every troll email that Chris forwarded to him. Similarly, Chris had a minor chat with a cop at some point (perhaps through Rocky), and then developed similar ideas about his relationship with the cop.

The only thing that could make that better would be if Chris had made a video with one of those star stickers boasting about being a Jr. Officer
