I've been playing this game for years and been highly invested in its future so it's been a hard pill to swallow to see all the leftist tranny pandering entering the game in recent years, but nobody should really be surprised. No live service game is ever safe from this shit. Alarm bells should have been ringing as soon as we got a Mod "Other".

The high level communities on Discord are also absolutely infested with trannies, even small raiding servers with like 50 people still manage to have a few token trannies that control the discourse. I've found a couple people with more than room temp IQ but it's draining being in proximity to these freaks.

I don't really follow "creators" other than the occasional YouTube video but are there even any prominent personalities in the OSRS space that don't suck the tranny dick besides Oda? His content doesn't appeal to me, would happily take recommendations if there are any good ones out there. When I finish my current goals I'm likely quitting for good (yes I know nobody ever quits etc), my will to play has been steadily declining and I'm close to finishing everything I wanted to do. I'll miss the cool people I've met though.

I decided to check it out a few months ago and I was surprised I had as much fun as I did.

It's still a great game and very unique, glad you enjoyed it. There is very little obvious tranny pandering and just playing casually you likely won't come into contact with that crowd at all, they are mostly concentrated at the higher levels from my experience.

Having read the thread, I remembered a tweet from Hanannie absolutely BURNING with RIGHTEOUS TROONDIGNATION at hapless runeboomer A Cold One (noteworthy osrs raider and minor twitch streamer, among other things he was the guy who theorycrafted the rune crossbow during Swampletics and was subsequently part of the raid team.)
"It" posted an utterly damning, contextless 10 second clip of Cold mid conversation, mumbling something that included "tranny."
According to him, he'd deigned to use the slur while... Bantering on stream about a movie.
I really wanted to substantiate this post with the tweeted clip that I'm referencing, but I think Cold deleted his half of that exchange. I'll try to dig it up later, I didn't fancy digging through a troon's twitter dumpster at work. Luckily for Cold, absolutely no one gave a shit, but I saw it.

Honestly OSRS is the most insulated (actively developed) MMO from the usual troon shit. It's only really in discord in my experience - find me any discord for any game that isn't deep in it. In game running raids or bank standing I don't see it. The "events" are just a npc that gives out items, compared to the fully scripted easter/christmas/halloween events with minigames and cutscenes. Even then, the playerbase protested it. No ingame character in the lore is explicitly gay/trans/whatever (no idea about rs3 but who cares about that slop). Races are consistent in regions - I mean fuck we have a desert region where everyone is named "Ali" as a joke and a ooga booga tribal island where everyone wears loincloths and speaks in broken English. We have one popular troon streamer compared to numerous Based individuals like King Condor and Oda.

Compared to WoW/FF14 we got it good ngl.

OSRS has "Body type A" and "Body type B" now. They did an update that adds a bunch of brown people all across the world. They removed a cutscene in Prince Ali Rescue because showing the prince crossdressing to escape jail upset trannies. The Makeover Mage is canonically genderfluid and there's an AIDS-infested gay pride dwarf west of Gertrude's house in a field of flowers the devs hardcoded to disallow firemaking in. Also after you complete The Feud all the townspeople are no longer named Ali. One of the NPCs in the Woodcutting Guild is a they/them. Two of the characters in the Kourend questline are lesbians.

The dev team is British which means they are soy-chugging tranny-fucking cucks. The userbase is less gay than the other popular MMOs but that doesn't stop the devs from railroading all the pozzed shit they want since 2020. I suppose it could be worse but that doesn't make it good either.

I haven't played those games so I wouldn't know but fair enough. Like you say there's not a lot of obvious cancer in-game but it's funny you mention the Alis in the desert since they did actually "fix" that in a Diversity and Inclusion Update a year or two back. Now they all get renamed to various names after the quest is completed and it completely ruins the joke of the quest in that area, since its premise is that everyone got their name changed to Ali to try and claim that they were the true and honest heir to some inheritance. Some npcs even lament that they're stuck with the name after the quest (or did, before it was all nuked to appease the trannies).
