Oldies - Playing the Greatest Hits of the 50's, 60's, and 70's

Before "Yesterday" by the Beatles, this was the most recorded song in history.

It also has some of the most top-notch versions of any song.

The Getz/Gilberto version is obviously the most known.
Note that it features Antonio Carlos "Tom" Jobim, the composer of the song.

Here's a version with Sinatra and Jobim.
Holy shit, talk about two titans.

And here's Jobim's own solo version of the song he wrote:

I could honestly spend all day just listening to different versions of this song.

And just because Jobim, one of his songs that doesn't get as much love as it deserves:
And the entire Stone Flower album is a masterpiece.

And because Stan Getz:
From the Captain Marvel album. Though I guess the thumbnail says that.

I don't care how basic bitch these opinions are, they're right.

This world is so stupid that even Tom Waits is oldies now.

"The large print giveth and the small print taketh away."

And of course Jobim's Brazil.
Jesus tier song and performance, also from Stone Flower.

I've always loved how Steely Dan can pass as elevator music while always actually being dark and subversive.

Also how about Traffic?
