Got these sparkle shoes, no idea why to be honest, I think I'll hate them in real life. First 350s I've owned.

And my girlfriend is going to try to get these on Friday.

I like the sparkle shoes. Shine on you crazy diamonte. I'd wear them, but as for your gf's choice? Is that a spirit level in the heel? You know that thing that tradesmen use to measure if something is accurate and straight?
Definitely made for an army of one.

I need these boots. They’re really cool.

Almost all my shoes are plain black sneakers. All off brand like not even sketchers or a cheap name like that but the store brand from their own personal clothing lines.

Though I do have these. air Jordan knockoffs. That try to look like the real ones with a silloute of a ball player and the name sky jumps.

Really shoes aren't something I fret over too much I'm more a hat and tees person... When I don't need to be in uniform for work that is.

I adore boots and booties with that little kitten-heel, but I work in a primarily male environment and I get made fun of if they can hear me walking down the hallway of the very small office building.

The sound is like 40% of the appeal, I love that authoritative little click. I could just say fuck it and wear them anyway, but I also don't want to be actively doing something that I know irritates my coworkers.

So now my shoe choices are now limited to my brown faux suede wedges, my Taos boots, and my sneakers. The other woman my age wears sperrys with leggings and a sweatshirt 99% of the time. I mostly wear my sneakers.

I miss my mini heel boots. I bought a really cute pair that were silent in the store but are still audible at work. Sigh.

Hahaha nah an air bubble. She decided they were too bright too. My sparkle shoes arrived, they're actually just a pale blue colour, the 3M doesn't seem to reflect much unless direct light shines on them, which I'm relieved about lol no getting chased by the yokels around here...

got a new pair of bike shoes a couple of weeks ago. They fit fine and help me pedal better so that's something I guess. That and they do have a nice color scheme of black and red

Scored a pair of these for $60 AUD, has an ultraboost sole so it's pretty comfy. (Still think react is better though)

And I got these for my gf, took a massive L on them and had to pay resale, but they're pretty dope, just hope they look as good in hand. She's also going to be crippled after wearing the, AJ1 are as uncomfy as shit lol

I just want to find a relatively normal looking pair of black heeled sandals. No luck

Is this a common issue for women?

Like most guy's dress shoes have the same look, give or take (idk what the difference between an oxford and brogue is?), so color is the only difference. I needed a pair of black dress shoes so I went to Payless and got the comfiest pair I could find and it was as simple as that.
Women's dress shoes come in so many different styles: flats, low heel, high heel, open toe, close toe, pumps, sandals, mary janes, ankle strap, etc. etc.

How do you know what you need/want and is it often you have trouble finding it?

Sometimes simpler items are harder to find. Personally I usually have high criteria for simple items, because in theory with a million styles of shoes it should be easy to find a plain black shoe that fits all my criteria right? But, not really. Sometimes it's just finding the item you want that isn't garbage quality. A lot of times I can't find the right toe shape and either the heel or the entire shoe is made of some cheap looking material. I've spent years looking for stuff like black boots. They all have really wide calves. And there are simply many more cheap shoe brands than there are quality shoe brands.

Idk, it's probably like how some guys are really particular about a pocket knife or wallet. It seems like a simple thing but when there are 1000000 choices some people decide to get really picky thinking they can find the exact thing that they want that's absolutely perfect. It's the paradox of choice. If I want orange and pink platforms I know I'm probably gonna have to settle.

I’m picking up a pair of these or some tyroleans. Before you mark it horrifying I know already my aesthetic sensibilities are over-individuated.

They’re George Cox, by the way.

Are these made for skiing or something? Because that's the only purpose I can imagine them having, although if that's the case they're lower cut than they should be.

I actually think they're kind of nice, in a dressy goth sort of way. Are you a guy or a girl?

I’m a man. I do like a nice pair of shoes though. This is a pair of tyroleans I am considering instead.
