I'm a bit of a nut when it comes to Onitsuka Tiger shoes. I have 10 pairs of Mexico66 and 4 pairs of Corsair. They are super comfortable and I dread every time the cold season comes, because I can't wear them that much. These are my top 3:

Kinda want a pair of checkerboard old skool vans
I’d attach a picture but the image upload is being contrary again lol

Bought my girlfriend a pair of black suede pumps. She has trouble with pumps & ballet flats because of the shape of her foot, so I DIY'ed an adjustable X-strap system with some black ribbon.

She was quite happy with the end result, and has since worn them on date night.

i got some like ~30 running shoes from Amazon a while back and compared to the shit i normally wear (flat-ass vans and docs) they are the comfiest motherfuckers ive ever worn

OK, so, I did end up getting the chelsea-style Roskilde Duckfeet boots a while back... and now I basically wear the brand exclusively. Imma sperg about it now.

You guys. Oh man. I have kind of been ruined for other shoes now. They have a generous toe box like Keens without tearing up the back of the heel (maybe other people don't have this problem? All Keens do this to me without exception and regardless of style.) and now everything else feels like they're squishing my toes unbearably when I go back to previously-fine shoes. It took a little bit to get used to/break in the crepe sole and start molding the footbed, which is to be expected, but for most it wasn't a Doc Martin's-type slog or anything like that. With a bit of extra effort I was even able to get the chelsea boots to accommodate my high arches, which is just so damn nice! No more nerve aggravation for me. The toe box is a little dorky, but the narrowness of the shaft makes the leg line still look nice. I still get compliments sometimes, so it must not be too weird.

The Lolland mary janes are the best, though, and are ready to rumble straight out of the box. I was a little retarded when I first got them and wore them to a trip Into Town, and ended up walking for not quite two hours with surprisingly no ill effects. I feel sad that the weather is no longer appropriate for them.

Tl;Dr Def buy if you were thinking about it. They have sales occasionally.

is liking any shoes a matter of training? Because I fucking hate using it. At home I am always barefoot and outside I prefer to use flipflops (except when exercising or it is raining)

I guess it is kinda the same with socks, I just feel uncomfortable using it.

I spent some time in Germany this year and they all wear leather shoes around and generally looked so much nicer than the average American dressed like they rolled out of bed/posturing in workout gear. After my visit I was really wanting to get some nicer, more feminine shoes for myself and with Christmas I found some I could readily afford. Wore them out today and felt really nice.

They're not for everyone but I love 'em

I am kinda forced to wear barefoot shoes now, due to my former love of high heels. Regular use of heels disfigured my feet. If you google image search "severe bunion", that is exactly what mine look like.

Wearing 3 inch heels daily for 12 hour work days at the office all throughout my 20s was stupid and not worth it. Yes, heels look awesome and I'm not against their use. But in my experience they should not be worn on a daily basis lest you end up with the disfigured and extremely painful feet I'm currently stuck with.

I don't have the ability to get the surgery to reset my foot bones and not be able to drive or lift for a long time, so instead I wear barefoot shoes that have a very wide toebox. These tend to be hideous as a genre but Xero Shoes makes some that look normal rather than your usual plasticky monstrosity, and they are the only shoes I can walk comfortably in. Sometimes people tell me they look cute. If only they knew the horrors that lie beneath.
