I jam my feet into the first two things I see in the morning and move on with my day

As far as shoes go, I've never found anything so comfortable and hard-wearing as army boots. My brother gave me his leftover boots when he finished with his army hitch, and damn, I like 'em! The winter boots especially--they laugh at everything our Midwestern blizzards throw at them, and have kept my feet nice and dry for more than eight years now.

But I do have a secret fondness for Louboutin and similar ridiculous, sky-high, expensive hooker shoes. If I won the lottery tomorrow, my first move would probably be buying something impractical with a six-inch heel and a four-digit price tag.

one thing i fucking hate, is snake skin/alligator skin print. even if its fake its so gross and creepy. personally i don't wear leather shoes either. I'm a vegan, don't bother making fun of me I've heard it all. but how is wearing skin not creepy and shady as fuck to people??? it immediately makes me think of the Texas chainsaw massacre when people go on and on about wearing leather. it just creeps me out on so many levels.

I've got weird-ass feet so finding shoes that fit is always an adventure. I have to buy my boots a size up from what I'm "supposed" to be so I've got enough space, and I have to special order my running shoes.
Normally I wear the jungle boots I got from our local Army surplus store but I also have a pair of Doc Martens with a Hieronymus Bosch theme for all my artfag needs. I also have some low heeled boots for when I need to be a sexy bitch. For lazy footwear I have a pair of Birkenstocks that are the comfiest shoes I own.

The one shoe trend I hated the most was those dumb pointed-toe shoes from like Aldo or some shit that often had crosses on them. To me, that kind of mens shoe doesn't suggest you like being pegged, it insists it. I will occasionally see some pushing 40 dudes clinging on to their youth wearing them out to some venue or another with their bedazzled Rock Revival jeans, telling the youthful crowd that the "fist pump" is still in.

I have steel toe boots for work, but I wear the shit out of flipflops in the summer. Sanuks are a bit pricey, but damn putting them on in the summer after working in the boots I feel like my feet are uncurling from being cramped up, and they’re one of the few brands that actually has padding on their women’s flip flops/sandals.

What is with women’s sandals and being nothing but a 1/16th inch piece of plywood or plastic? Your feet get beaten to death by them.

I have a lady boner for Louboutins, but Mr. LightEmittingDiode and I are planning on creating our 1st bundle of joy soon. Is it safe to say I'll have to bid them adieu?

IDK, you may have better luck than I did. But during pregnancy, your center of balance shifts like a mofo, especially toward the end. I had a commute that involved walking up and down steep hills in the rain for about a quarter of a mile before I could get to my transit station, so even chunky heels resulted in balance incidents and near-misses that terrified me. Then I found out ballet flats don't offer enough support when you've got extra pregnancy weight and swelling et cetera.

Now I wear shoes that are really well-constructed and come from a company called Aravon, they're a brand collab between Rockport and New Balance that makes really comfortable professional shoes for women.

I'd say for your best chance of being able to continue wearing the heels you love, do yourself a favor and don't wear them during pregnacy, give your body a chance to recover from birth before trying. If it turns out you can't, no harm done, but wearing them during almost caused me to injure myself (and possibly my kid, which would have been even worse).

Don’t get rid of them! (Unless you are my size and feel like being generous..). Your feet may get a size bigger during pregnancy and even for a year or two while carrying a toddler around. But they could go back to original.

Before baby I was 6, After baby I was 7. By the time baby was 3, I was back to 6. Then a bunion grew and now I’m 6.5. (Protip: never post a photo of a bunion online).

Classic Lou’s don’t go out of style so don’t feel like a hoarder hanging on to them for a few years.

But did you post it here though?

Why would anyone write that page? More to the point, why the fuck did I read it?
All thats missing is it being 1.7x longer than the articles about just shoes or socks.

Idk. I like shoes ok. I'm looking for some black suede boots with a slight heel right now. also so many boots have such wide calves on them it's ridiculous.

I own these shoes. They were a present from my fiance because he thinks I look good in platform pumps and I am hippie trash. I can't walk in them, I need more practice but I'm always scared of snapping the heel somehow.

Maybe go to Payless and pick up a cheap pair that’s similar for practice? If you ruin a $30 pair it’s not as big a deal.

I'm glad you posted that overpriced shit from rip off non-label label Vetements.
Anyone who buys them instead of regular Reeeeboks, should have their feet cut off.

Louboutins are horribly uncomfortable. Not because of the heel, just the way they're structured/made. Even the flats are intolerable. Though they are pretty.

Vanity is a sin, socks & sandals is a practical and comfortable choice.
