I ended up getting these (half off the clearance price, couldn't resist) and the buttons don't come off, but I do think they'll be easy enough to paint over. They felt very comfortable when I tried them on, but since I haven't had the chance to paint the hearts I don't know how they actually feel wearing them for longer than 2 minutes.

Yeah a goth mate has a black pair similar and I always thought those boots had hard solid soles, but hers are a pretty lightweight foam. Makes them heaps lighter too.

My feet are pussies, no matter what I wear I'm never comfortable, these were hella comfy tho. Granted, the boots I had were actually hand-me-downs (already broken in) from a really cool relative and a teeny bit big. I could wear them all day if I wanted to and I think my biggest issue wasn't pain, it was walking down stairs. I'm short and the extra height was scary lol.

Man I miss those old clunkers but both pairs literally fell apart as I was wearing them, the damn heels both separated. I'm dying for a new pair but money.

This is an insole that is made out of eTPU. Its the exact same stuff as adidas boost. It works absolute wonders in shitty old retro shoes. I know some people that throw them into their work shoes for the office as well..
It makes a mad difference. I threw some into an old pair of adidas superstars and they felt like a new shoe lol
There's some company called "hefe lux" that had been spamming heaps of instagram and YouTube shoe reviewer channels and all they're doing is reselling these for twice the price lol

Hahaha indeed! There's an even softer squishier foam called PEBAX. Saucony use it in some of their kicks, its formed like boost but its softer.

I'm actually not sure if the shoes are called Sashiko or Deep Ocean.
I really dig them, and couldn't get them when they first came out. They were a bit dearer than normal AJ4,and they're made out of canvass instead of leather or durabuck. They're an Asian/Oceania exclusive.

(I also like the sound of the metal plates/screws jiggling with each step I take.)

The black velvet pair especially, is quite comfy and has become my everyday boot.

Platform shoes look pretty but I’m clumsy as fuck so I don’t own any since they seem like a great way to break your spine.

I bought these boots from Office recently, since my little ankle boots and court shoes are too summery and also too delicate for the wet climate in the new city i'm in. Around £120-130 each:


They are the best boots i've bought in a long time, hands down. Especially the black ones, I love the tapered heel and square toe. They look amazing with a little pleated skirt and a turtleneck sweater or some other neutral top, but i've also had success with slim cut jeans in dark colours. I'm particularly happy because it rains all the time here and these boots have so far succeeded in keeping my feet dry all day, which is the bare minimum as far as i'm concerned. The black ones are fabulous too because i'm going to a costume party as Adam Ant and they'll work very nicely with leather trousers.
The brown boots are better for everyday wear, especially with jeans or leggings, since they're so classic and simple. The suede-like fabric is very soft and a little stretchy, so they have a nice slouch but can also be folded over at the top. Both of the boots are quite loose on me around the calf, which makes the leg look even longer and slimmer especially paired with dark tights or stockings. They're very comfortable and can be worn with socks or just with stockings.

I also bought some Lidl trainers on a whim because they were £12 and I thought they were funny. My roommate has the shorts and wears them out and about, but honestly I'm too embarassed so for now they're just my garden shoes.
