This story is so fucking old it hurts:

> Trans profile pic on twitter saying: "Okay, I cant hold it in anymore, I WILL LEAK THE ABUSE THAT I HAVE BEEN SUFFERING IN SILENCE FOREVER"
> Story about how it worked SO HARD 35+++ hours each day until it got SICK and had a breakdown (I seriously seriously doubt it)
> Boss says: "cool, I understand, but like I cant pay you if you dont work, thats how work functions. I'm sorry."
> Trans pfp thinks they won epic style and goes: "Look at how much of an asshole this boss is! Now EVERYONE knows the truth"
> Presents nothing of value, private conversations that no one gives a shit about and just shows that they can never be trusted in the future with dms.
> Nothing happens because the boss did nothing wrong, its just that the trans pfp is unable to be a normal person in a normal working society, and the worlds keeps spinning around

Maybe learn to be a stable person that doesn't have a shitty breakdown during your "dream job".
Working as a team, everyone needs to contribute. If you ditched the team because of "muh mentals", then that's fine, but don't think you have the same rights as the ones that were there throughout the whole process until the end.

I predict this person will delete their presence online once the backlash comes (within a month).

Checked out the Xitter thread and this troon actually put his Ko-fi link at the end of his long ass accusatory textwall like "teehee donate to me because I need money to heal my trauma", this is 100% guaranteed bullshit and judging from all the other troons and weird balding AGPs in the comments giving this thing asspats, it'll work.

Omocat's weird tweets aside, she was being very nice here. Talk like this to any other boss and they would either curse you out or fire you.

OP also seems very immature and expected the team to pick up the pieces for the negligence of their health, despite being told several times to take more breaks so this sort of thing wouldn't happen in the first place.

As someone who works in a similar field I can promise that this retard deserved it. People not pulling their weight is always frustrating but it is especially detrimental when in situations like this where someone sets up an entire architecture that only they are familiar with then just dips, causes all sorts of nightmares in trying to reverse engineer what this person's done. You can be a programming prodigy but if you behave like this you're even less valuable than someone who doesn't know what they're doing.
Very good point. Omocat in her response mentioned something about people spending a lot of time having to undo what Melon did, which I don't have a hard time believing.
People who think they're a genius will oftentimes write dogshit esoteric code that is nigh impossible for a stranger to read, let alone edit (everyone else is just too stupid to understand it, obviously).
Also someone programming a lot very fast is also likely to result in poorly thought-out architecture so even by Melon's own account of things it checks out.

Omocat caused her so much stress and exhaust she crashed into slumber LMAO
Drink clean water, get some sun on your skin, and have a semi-decent diet and I promise you'll stop feeling so shitty all the time. Dumbfuck.

It's insane to me that she thinks this is a "gotcha" when it's her fucking job as an adult to take care of her own basic needs.

Isnt this that pedophile game?
I don't know anything about the pedophilia but it's gay and gross.

Remember how at the height of GaymerGayte 'n' sheet, feminists decried what they identified as an old and tired trope, "women in refrigerators" (verb: to fridge)? The TL;DR is this:
it's not good, on part of a writer, to have a female character killed off [often by a villain and in a gruesome way] simply to make a man sad.
(I'm not asking you to agree with this, I'm just saying this is a tenet of wokism)

Well, in Omori, a female character is killed off to make a male character sad. Let's look at the critical reception (from Wikipedia):
Prominently portraying concepts such as anxiety, depression, psychological trauma, and suicide, the game features strong psychological horror elements.
Omori received largely positive critical reviews, with gaming publications praising it for its depiction of anxiety and depression. Rock Paper Shotgun reviewer Kat Bailey compared it to her real-life experiences, stating that the game managed to take overused themes regarding the subject and create a "memorable darkness". Rachel Watts of PC Gamer described it as a work that "captures this sentiment [of overcoming anxiety] masterfully", but criticized some parts of it for being unnecessarily dark. RPGFan writer Alex Franiczek stated that it "succeeded" at depicting harrowing events during a formative part of life, despite it being something that not many games try to attempt.
And from Tvtropes:
Kel delivers the game's main moral: grief is not all about one person and you can't act like it only affects you. Otherwise, you withdraw yourself from other people, rather than working together through the loss, sadness, and disbelief, which leads to The Chain of Harm. As Kel bitterly recalls, Hero yelled at his little brother for the crime of trying to comfort him about Mari's death, and their parents cared more about calming down Hero, the instigator, rather than helping Kel stop crying. Hero is extremely guilty when Kel brings this up
Ok, it's like textbook Women in Refrigerators, right? Female character commits suicide, and the whole game is about male characters cooooooooping with her suicide (rather than, you know, taking up her causes or punishing the people responsible, as popular woman-respecting fags do).

But wait:
In the good ending, Sunny accepts that even if the people he wronged don't forgive him, he must come to terms with his role in Mari's death and accept both her passing and his guilt. While we don't see the friends' reactions to the truth, what's more important is that with the burden lifted from Sunny's and Basil's shoulders, they're finally ready to begin healing.
  • After years of suppressing his emotions and repressing the truth of what happened to Mari, Sunny wakes up crying after defeating Omori.
  • A more downplayed example prior: When Sunny plays the violin again, as soon as he's done with his song, he falls to the floor crying. However, this takes place in his dreams, and the aforementioned example is more cathartic because it's probably the first time he's let himself cry and feel his grief over Mari's death for real in years.
Central Theme: Accepting past trauma and moving on from it.
Oho! This sounds like the protagonist, Sunny, drove his older sister Mari to suicide. This is strictly worse than Women in Refrigerators! In a classic WiR story, the man might blame himself (for getting involved in crimefighting, or for breaking up with the woman "for her safety" which causes her to storm off and get rapemurdered, or for being too poor to move out of a bad neighborhood) but is actually not guilty.

But waaaait:
Mari didn't kill herself; Sunny got frustrated while practicing and tossed his violin down the stairs. She came to confront him, and wouldn't let it go because their friends saved up their money to buy the instrument for him. In a fit of anger, he pushed her down
Then he and another faggot abuse her body, staging a suicide!
The game is about the gay murderer and his gay accomplice, "overcoming anxiety", coming to terms with their "grief", "accepting past trauma", "working through their loss and sadness" and "beginning to heal".

ANXIETY. Over having MURDERED your sister in a fit of lazy TARD RAGE.

This is the gayest, grossest, most woman-hating shit I've ever read, and I've read the troon thread in the Salon. I seriously hope everyone involved either kills itself or gets a terminal case of stinkditch/rotdog rot. I'm making this poast in the hopes that it might cause a suicide.

Omocat's weird tweets aside, she was being very nice here. Talk like this to any other boss and they would either curse you out or fire you.
She was beyond generous for this, I'm willing to chalk this up due to her never being in game development before, but the thing she really did wrong was trying to be friends with her workers. If a tranny that was working for me came to saying "uwu I too eepy to work for da dweadwine" and then act surprised working more than 8 hours a day in the videogame industry is a common thing (especially near deadlines), I would've shitcanned him immediately on the spot.

To make no mention of the faggot having the balls to eBeg for money cuz they're such a soft uwu innocent cherub that dindu nuffing and thinking magically releasing incomplete chatlogs is somehow going to fix fucking everything.

It's fucking disgusting behavior in the indie dev sphere, like holy shit is it common.

I can't believe I'm protecting Omori here, but that's simply incorrect. First of all, Gaymergate was a decade before the game came out, and it was more about the princess trope than WiR. So why the fuck bring it up?

WiR itself is more about using women death as easy emotional points and motivation, and it's more prevalent in comics than gaming (of course it's ridiculous when there are plenty of male death in media as well). Omori has the female death be the entire crux of the game and it is more than a simple reason for revenge, but the resulting depression and guilt of the event (that is ruined with the twist that it wasn't suicide).

More hard-hitting receipts from Melon Kid aka @animegirlcrimes, despite backpedaling earlier (it was a minor grievance guys, geez!) and saying that she'll be "logging off for a solid while" lol

If you don't care enough to click, it's a screenshot of a copy-paste onto notepad of a motivational memo allegedly written by omocat. I personally don't have a hard time believing this is real mostly because it doesn't really make omocat look bad. Basically your average "we're nearing the deadline and need to work hard" kind of shit.
Poor Melon Kid was forced to do her job even though she was soooo sleepy. (:_(

Well good news Melon, you'll never have to work until you crash into slumber ever again, because nobody with half a brain will want to hire you after this embarrassing display.

Ah, 8 hour work day, the trannies worst enemy. Considering he is terminally online at his parents' basement, he doesn't even have a mandatory one hour+ just getting to work and back. The rest is still bad, trying to frame a small team pulling the stops to get a game out as the same as a megacorp crunch.

So, I recently finished Omori on my pirated nintendo soywitch. When starting, I kind of knew the vibe of the game - as others have pointed out, trannies and other mentally ill freaks tend to like it. I could find the experience enjoyable without identifying with anything in the game, just getting a bit attached to the characters (literally anyone except the main character, he's literally unlikeable). The art style is a bit faggy around the edges, it's possible to ignore that tho. I liked the music a lot, especially the boss tracks (sweethearts castle songs drove me nuts tho). As for the story, it is ok. I'm not a certified xX_ProGaymer_Xx and haven't played much similar titles, maybe I'm not in the best place to discuss that. The only annoying things I have to point out is repetitive combat (you have to level up quite a lot to win boss battles), and the overall length of the game. I don't think I needed 25 hours to get the point.

Does he elaborate why his daughter killed herself? In general Omori is the kind of media made by people who fetishize depression and self harm. It doesn't say anything that will be useful irl besides empty "you just need friends!". Also statistically if your child committed suicide you were horrifically negligent parent

>13 year old daughter commits suicide
>Father plays omori because his daughter loved the game and did this to connect with her
>praises the game for it's artsy represention of trauma and guilt

Bruh why would you let your child play the emo suicide game, did you think it was a cutesy harmless rpg wtf

I am okay with Omori as a game if you don't know about its community, but nobody who is an impressionable child should play it.

Mostly because they'd risk finding its community.
