So every once in a while, I'll run into a post about a lolcow where they have strong(read:extreme) opinions on something, saying they are against it, but then turn out to actually be the thing they hate. The classic example would be a homophobic man who turns out to be closeted gay himself.
On one hand, I think it can come from a place of malice. On the other hand, I think it could also come from deep-seated personal issues drawing back to the homophobic example above. But it's also just as likely something like this just comes from a place of ignorance.
What do you think?
