One man died and three others were wounded in Queens and Brooklyn on Saturday when a scooter-riding shooter unleashed a 9 mm semi-automatic pistol on people he seemed to pick out randomly on the street, police said.

The 25-year-old suspect was in custody early Saturday afternoon, and police said there was no ongoing threat to the public.

Why the man fired in the five separate incidents was a mystery to police brass who spoke at a news conference several hours after his arrest. “It seems that his acts were random,” said Assistant Chief Joseph Kenny of the NYPD Detective Bureau.

Kenny said the ages and backgrounds of the victims were “all different.” He said the evidence as of Saturday afternoon showed the suspect was “not targeting anybody. He’s not following anybody. As he’s driving on his scooter, he’s randomly shooting people.”

The suspect — whose name was not released — has one prior arrest, police said.

The shooter appeared to target pedestrians and people in their cars in the shooting spree, said cops.

An 87-year-old man died after the scooter-riding suspect shot him one time in the back on Jamaica Ave. and 109th St. in Richmond Hill at 11:28 a.m. He was pronounced dead at Jamaica Hospital, said police.

Jasvir Singh, 50, the owner of Zoom Zoom Wireless on the Jamaica Ave. block, said he was inside the store when he saw the shooter ride by the store window.

“He did a U-turn and he loaded his gun and he just started shooting,” Singh said.

Police said the shooter also aimed at a group of people at the corner of 108th St. and Jamaica Ave., but no one else was struck.

“I mean everybody is scared. Everybody is in shock,” Singh said.

Minutes later, at about 11:35 a.m., the shooter fired at a 44-year-old man on Hillside Ave. and 126th St. A bullet struck the man in the cheek, and the man was in critical condition at Jamaica Hospital on Saturday afternoon, said police.

Two minutes after that, at 11:37 a.m., another man was shot in the shoulder blocks away on Jamaica Ave. and 134th St., said police. That victim, a 63-year-old man, was hit in the shoulder and was in stable condition at Jamaica Hospital later Saturday, said cops.

A worker at a nail salon near the scene of that shooting said she saw a pedestrian wounded in the gun violence.

“The guy was waiting for the light to cross the street and someone came and shot him three times,” said the worker, Gabriela Tipan.

Police said they found four 9 mm shell casings at that scene.

“[The victim] crossed the street and he laid down on the floor. He didn’t die. The ambulance came. He was shot on the shoulder.”

One person was wounded in a shooting in Brooklyn that apparently was the shooter’s first of the day, said police.

In that incident, around 11:10 a.m. at Arlington Ave. and Ashford St. in East New York, a 21-year-old man was hit in the shoulder, said police. His wound was not considered life-threatening.

Soon after the shootings, police found video evidence that gave them an image of the suspect, said NYPD Acting Commissioner Edward Caban. The image was distributed to police officers’ cell phones, Caban said.

Shortly after 1 p.m., officers from the 103rd and 113th precincts spotted the shooter, Caban said. They arrested him near the intersection of 94th Ave. and Sutphin Blvd. in Jamaica, near the Jamaica train station.

The suspect’s 9 mm pistol had an extended magazine, said police.

“We have not found a serial number on the gun,” Kenny said. “We’re trying to determine whether it’s defaced, or possibly a ghost gun. That’ll come out later on in our investigation.”

lmao and that stupid mario movie was just all I GOTTA SAVE BROOKLYN!
btw that's an e-bike like one of the ones that blow up when you charge them too long.

DC sniper? But those were black guys and the profilers fumbled on that because they just assumed they had to be white. Is that what you were thinking of? Everyone just assumed it was a a white guy until the big reveal.

No, not these two. They shot randomly people but not "just bc they wanted to murder". But their case could be added, yes.

@Onni Kalsarikännit

You're mixing up spree killing with serial killing. This has zero serial killer vibes. My guess is possibly one of the lovely browns that are showing up to the brilliant sanctuary city.

Serial killer usually murder over a longer period while spree killer usually murder within a very short time frame. But theoritically can a spree killer turn into a serial killer. Like if that guy wouldn't have been caught he could have done it again and again and again. That would have been very uncommon though.

But yes, this guy would be categorized as spree killer and not serial killer. At the moment. Maybe it turns out he has murdered in the past. I wouldn't be surprised. As I wouldn't be surprised about his motives incl. "I killed people bc I wanted to" or "I killed whiteys bc I hate whiteys" or "Lord Satan commanded me to kill these people bc they were undercover angels" or ...
The world is a fucked up pkace.

Serial killing is more than just the idea of killing over a span of time. If that was all that it took, every gang banger and mafioso would be a serial killer. It's more about why they kill and then we could get into a whole thing about process and product killers and all that fun shit. It's ok to admit you're kinda dumb, probably listened to a couple edgy boy podcasts about serial killers and want to throw around second hand knowledge. I'm pretty dumb myself but I do know way too much about serial killers and spree killers as I find that they're fascinating.

Richard Chase, for example, murdered and consumed the blood of his victims because he had a mental disorder where he thought he was either losing all his blood or it was being stolen (depending on what his disorder was telling him any given moment). Or my personal favorite, Joseph Kallinger who was quite possibly the most schizophrenic person to ever have lived. Nigga tried making special shoes for hamsters that would somehow lead to fixing humanity but after realizing he couldn't make shoes that small he just kinda poked them with a pencil till they all died of exhaustion and fright.

Ok, rant over. Moral of the story, this was some dumb shit skin retard spree killing for fun. Wake me up when we know if it was a nigger or a dreamer.

Suspected NYC scooter shooter Thomas Abreu claims everyone out to get him in paranoid rant

The scooter-riding suspect accused of killing an elderly man and wounding three other innocents in a two-borough shooting spree wildly claimed his victims were out to get him — as were a host of others.

“The Russians are after me,” Thomas Abreu, 25, said after being caught by cops, according to prosecutors. “The Chinese are after me. The Italians are after me. Africa is after me.”

Abreu, who also complained “you are all wearing earpieces” to cops, claimed the ghost gun used in the Saturday rampage wasn’t his.

“I was jumped before and someone dropped a bag and when I looked, there was a gun and I took it and I kept it since,” he told police.

Abreu, who kept his eyes closed through most of the hearing in Queens Criminal Court via video hookup to his hospital bed, was charged with murdering Hamod Ali Saeidi, 87.

Saeidi’s final moments were captured on shocking surveillance video that shows the gunman rolling up behind him at Jamaica Ave. near 109th St. and shooting him in the back.

Saeidi, out on his daily walk, struggled to stand as blood soaked the front and back of his shirt, then doubled over and collapsed as a bystander moved in to help him.

Abreu was also charged with attempted murder for allegedly shooting three others, beginning with a 21-year-old man struck in the shoulder in East New York.

After driving into Queens and killing Saeidi, he shot a 44-year-old man in the cheek at Hillside Ave. and 126th St. and a 63-year-old man in the shoulder at Jamaica Ave. and 134th St., according to cops and prosecutors.

There easily could have been more victims. But right after the murder, Abreu fired at a woman and missed, police sources said. He then fired three errant shots at a man after shooting the 44-year-old, they added.

In court, Abreu came across as incoherent, blurting out, “I think they wanted to kill me or murder.”

“Everybody says that I’m innocent,” he told Judge Scott Dunn. “That’s the best problem that there is.”

“Mr. Abreu,” Dunn said, “Are you coherent enough to follow these proceedings today? You keep on closing your eyes. Are you alert enough to go forward?”

Abreu insisted he was.

“I need my innocence, first of all,” he said. “I’m told that I’m innocent, and that’s the truth.”

Abreu, who rocked back and forth through most of the hearing, often rubbing his eyes, was ordered held without bail.

“It’s the people’s position no amount of bail would be appropriate,” said Assistant District Attorney Jonathan Selkowe.

It wasn’t clear why Abreu was hospitalized, but his lawyer, Jonathan Latimer, said he would need more time to decide if he would ask that Abreu undergo a mental health evaluation.

Abreu’s roommate, Rueben Vargas, previously said the crimes didn’t match the man he knows.

“He seemed like a good boy,” Vargas said.

Even police seemed perplexed, with one official noting Abreu’s prior arrest, for a forged instrument, didn’t suggest a violent outburst would be next.

Well I doubt it's another tranny. But at this point I'm now expecting trannies to step up to the plate and try for that coveted high score.

This guy had bad aim so I think we don't even have to play "guess the race". The authorities have no picture or name and you know what that usually means. He's either black or a migrant.

That's very tragic for the 87 year old victim. Make it all the way to 87 only to be cut down by some lunatic on a scooter.
Next they're gonna call for scooter control and how you can't shoot your glock from a moped.
