I feel like that has to be from condensing so much in so few episodes? How many episodes did it take for Garp to learn of Luffy’s pirate activities, let alone that Garp and Luffy were related?
In the efforts to try to shorten things out for the easily digestible audience it has some weird breaks in the story it seems. I felt like this was kind of my problem with a lot of things since they really wanted to hurry to get the first few members of the crew together but it is missing the weight of why they're even in a crew and why they joined.

They did Usopp dirty by cutting out all of his moments against the Black Cat pirates that made him immediately endearing.
He's a little streamlined and boring because of it
seems they sort of watered down his cowardly nature a bit unless I am missing something.
Those episodes did Usopp dirty but I liked Kuro and the overall serial killer mansion chase set-up better. Too bad we had no Jango though.

Bet they saw the Micheal Jackson reference in poor taste but Jango is a fun character especially since he shows back up later for a bit.

I am of the opinion that they could not fit in everything. A proper Jango would take a lot of screen time and would be hard to be worked in.

The mansion looked like a set from the Jim Carey A Series of Unfortunate Events movie.
So? I am not talking about the building. I am talking about the premise of "Serial Killer chases victims inside a big house". I liked how catlike Kuro was made to play with his food. I liked his mannerisms more. How he was starting to enjoy the luxury and high class to the point of being snob, the fact that he kept around some of the crew just so that he can have servants and enforcers in his future life and how he looked like he truly enjoyed killing even if he did not like being chased. For me, this actor HAS to play Dracula in the future. He has the "aristocrat is actually a sadistic beast" vibes down pat.

Out of the confirmed Holy Knights with names (Garling Figarland, Shamrock Figarland, Gunko Manmeyer, Sommers Shepard, and Killingham Rimoshifu), whom are your personal favorites, if you have any? So far, I think I like all of them, but probably Killingham the least.
trying to avoid spoilers but Graling as head of GK, Gunko when we see her eating at the table (not knowing what we do now), and Killingham in his most recent appearance
