i dont think the goal is to get elbaf into the war i think they want to somehow drag out loki and think that dragging them into a war would cause them to set loki free. shamrock and company already tried to just get loki out of there the peaceful route once he rejected their offer they went with plan b.

I thought the whole thing was getting Elbaf aligned with the WG, with a caveat that the giants will be key to determining the future of the world. Which makes me wonder how Luffy will end up getting Elbaf under Straw Hat protection if he stops trying to recruit Loki.

Imu wants Elbaf aligned with the WG so the can use the giants as fodder..then probably genocide them all because "They might be a threat one day"

Edit : Shit, what is Imu doing right now in the current arc. He is trying to grab ahold of an army because Luffy is 3/4s of the way to getting the map and both Shanks and Blackbeard are starting to move.

He killed the kids that could be Rogers because Roger’s execution lit a powderkeg and created way more pirates than ever before. It’s easier to try and prevent the future king of the pirates than it is to deal with a Roger 2.0.

Desperate for Imu is actually deciding not to use the Giants and use an Ancient Weapon or themselve directly.

Imu very much like keeping the world as controlled as possible. Army of giants? Make sense and no one questions it. Lone demon girl flipping islands in 5 seconds? People will raise an eyebrow.

No he killed the kids because The World Government was personally afraid of Roger's son.

And how many of the Fathers/Mothers of the newborns that The World Government went on to become Pirates or Revolutionaries out of pure spite to the group that killed their kid?

Imu's grip on the world is so complete that he can legitimately go around murdering newborns at random without worry about the repercussions, but is worried about the progeny of a single man because of where he went.

That says to me that Laugh Tale has something that is a very direct threat to his rule because else wise his rule is so Ironclad that he can run around having Newborns killed without being worried about the repercussions.

I dunno. Same reason he left all of Rogers crew alive. Because he’s not bothered solely about things that could actually threaten the balance of the world and less so the secret itself but rather the idea of it and the issues that causes.

Has to be more than a few people radicalized into joining Dragon after the World Government Backtracked Rogers steps for 6 months and murdered every child in that path.

Given that most of them retired after Roger died and none of them stirred shit it would be a bad choice to start giving them a reason to become active again, especially since even after 2 decades of Retirement Reyleigh was able to match an Admiral still, and if you go after Reyleigh you also have to go after Shakky..which means you have 2 Major Powers to face down, which means you probably have to bring the Gods Knights into the mix.

It's just not worth it over a bunch of people who don't seem to want to talk about Laugh Tale without being nudged into it AND also probably can't use whatever weapon is dangerous to Imu because they aren't a D.

hasn’t that been the thing since Ohara? The NAME of The Great Kingdom is enough to make the Gorosei send the order to kill every and destroy everything. Also, Nika is all about liberation and freedom.

It’s nowhere near as dystopian as something like 1984, but I can’t think of anything that’s gonna make this grand idea such a game changer aside from “freedom is good, slavery is bad” or “people should be able to follow their dreams”.

Maybe I’m thinking too much about this. And making things bigger than they really are.

i have to believe if the WG wanted elbaf to be aligned with them they would have done so when harold was alive if not afterwards when the giants became peaceful. did they just not bother until now because shanks left the island and they did not want to fight him?
as for luffy recruiting loki im really curious how thats going to turn out because if straw hats are just a mirror of blackbeards crew they need a giant to be the counter for sanjuan wolf. though loki seems to idolize rocks and that would make me think he would be more interested in joining up with blackbeard.

either way i dont think he is going to stay in elbaf because i dont think the rest of the giants will ever accept him. but who knows anymore i still remember thinking yamato was pretty much a lock in to join the straw hats especially when she mentioned meeting ace and waiting for him all that time plus yamato would be like the oden for the strawhats like actual oden was for rogers crew.

but instead shes busy roaming around wano so it really could go either way with loki. he could join or he could refuse and get warped away by blackbeard if/when he shows up or he could somehow end up beloved by everyone again after the truth of harolds death is revealed to everybody.

I got the feeling that because most of them are aware of what the One Piece is or can do but know there isn't much they can do about it. It's years after that so whatever it may be and the events that have been kicked off the last years with the WG and other powers at play it's probably time for what use The One Piece has to take effect.
 
does anybody think a real gum gum fruit comes into play? I don't think it matters but I thought of Luffy losing the nikka fruit and eating the real gum gum fruit and not noticing the difference funny. But does any think its a checkovs gun? itd be crazy to think theres not a rubber fruit
