Technically in the Naruto example both rows are all the same person because Madara/The First and Sauske/Naruto are reincarnations of the Sage's Sons and strictly speaking given what we know from Vegapunk, Joy Boy and Nikka might not be connected directly given that Joy Boy was born with his rubber powers.

I forgot about that reincarnations thing in Naruto. Naruto ended so badly.

I hope not, and I also doubt it because I doubt Oda will get himself stuck in the "I made a mystery box without knowing what was in it" trap that Naruto and Attack on Titan Ran into..and isn't going to have the absurd Powerscaling that Bleach and My Hero ran into..

Oda knows what’s in the box. He’s just waiting for a very specific time to open it. Probably because Luffy is the key to opening a lot more boxes and answering more questions.
 
well that explains some things. it really is starting to seem like luffy is the only one who wont be effected by imus powers because of the nika fruit. because if someone as strong as rocks got caught i dont see much hope for anyone else without some form of fruit power. also garp got really lucky that imu cared more about getting rid of rocks because a member of the navy trying to attack one of the five elders seems like it would not go over too well in most other instances. now im curious to know how everyone who attacked saturnimu managed to survive all these years without getting taken out

I’m betting Imu just let them go because Imu’s existence is meant to be a secret, and the censorship machine the Gorosei and the world government have is top notch. Also, from what we’ve seen, most pirates don’t give a shit about things related to Imu.

Been answered already, Imu's entire powerbase exists as a balance of power..the moment he starts fucking around with the New World the strongest pirates start to fuck back. The God Valley incident was entirely caused by the fact that Garland wanted to get his dick inside of Shakky so she was set up as the Prize. If not for that Roger would not have come, the Rocks pirates outside of Rocks himself probably wouldn't have shown up..and that means no Garp showing up.

Cannot fire the guy who you are going to lionize. Pin the rescue on Garp and have him be too ashamed to admit that the pirates have a point because doing so would create more trouble in the world.

I've said it before but i feel no matter how the ending will be most people (and we know who they are) will not be truly satisfied with the ending. There's too much expectations and years and years and years of story building up to a climax that has to also meet those rather unrealistic expectations that most people have.

this is true. it is still strange that imu let so many people who know about him stay alive its just as odd as the remaining roger pirates being allowed to live as well. but i guess both those issues have solved themselves over time.

Again, none of the pirates really care about Imu enough to challenge the status quo or do anything to risk Imu being exposed as a shadow ruler. Anything beyond that is just endgame material that’ll probably end up being revealed because Luffy showed up.
