i still think it would be really funny if at the end of everything buggy ends up getting all the credit because people just think he is not only related to rocks and the davey clan by default but he is also nika because people think his body can stretch and he makes people laugh and he also freed a bunch of prisoners in marineford. dudes gonna end up being king of the world all while luffy and teach have some big fight with imu. the new world government will be founded when every nation swears its allegiance to buggy d. clown while mihawk and crocodile and shanks are forced to become 3 of the 5 elders.

I am holding off on judging him quite yet, if only because we don't see where this goes and Elbaf did not become a member of the world government and Imu is currently having to threaten children to get his Giant Army.

I’ve already saved these so I’ll keep calling him the self-hating white guy because he got lost his virginity to some retarded theatre chick and know is beholden solely to her opinions and ignores everyone elses.

I’m going to disagree with the part about letting fishmen dilute the giants bloodline because wotans have been consistently portrayed as powerhouses within their respective groups, nerfed only by becoming comic relief.

I had a though today whilst showering in that, while Luffy’s mom has had heavy speculation (especially since we’ve seen nil of Luffy’s life prior to being dumped on Dadan), but Dragon’s mom has even less story presence. Garp doesn’t act like he’s married and he doesn’t act like a widower and even Releigh is well known to go back to Shakky every once in a while. It will probably end up being a sidelined detail like Queen being Franky’s dad, but all of the Strawhats whose biological parentage is story-important (Usopp, Sanji, Robin) have had both parents be relevant.

New chapter is out
Shanks was a holy knight for at least a while though I suspect he actually infiltrated the Holy Land. It seems he was the one that gave Fisher Tiger the means to ravage the Holy Land back in the day. And poor Loki, He has made peace with his step mom and she got poisoned by his mother's clan. Maybe that's a reason he was deemed "dangerous"?

@Balr0g Are we really doing this? Are we really doing this to where Shanks was really some brand of evil? If Shanks really was devoted to being a God’s Knight like his brother and his father, I can’t see how that would lead to practically his entire time as a pirate, and it CERTAINLY wouldn’t explain why he’d take a liking to Luffy to the point where losing an arm was no big deal to him (there’s a point where your actions go beyond “doing something so your cover isn’t blown”, and I think everything at the start of the story with Shanks and Luffy is proof of that).

I'm guessing Shanks was undercover on the Holy land for something, since I think it was suppose to be implied Shanks is the one who left the armory open for Fisher Tiger. I assume if he is undercover it's related to the national treasure of MG. I wonder if the bandages on his face are to cover the scar and better hide his identity or if this is supposed to be immediately after the injury that left the scar, since it was BB who gave him that scar.

Theory
Shanks is actually looking for the Gomu Gomu fruit in the Hoy Land because he heard (or found it in Roger's notes) that this fruit is special
It seems pretty obvious some tomfoolery is going on.

My bet is the tattoos are actually the medium for devil magic. The Elders actually have the Abyssal seal and the various God’s Knights have the lower tiers. Shanks getting his arm bitten off was probably a happy accident.

On Harald, lower than Oden dancing naked for 5 years in his underwear. Literally an awful King, father and man. Just a retarded nigger cattle of a man. Ida fucking ruined him because he’s too timid to stand up against things he disagrees with, but all to willing to do awful things because muh greater good. Bad arc.

Except that Shanks got his arm bitten off long after he'd been established as a pirate. Also, if the seal is devoted to Imu and the God's Knights, then Shanks would be a Celestial Dragon, who sees all CDs as playthings at best and less than nothing at worst. And Shanks was wearing the straw hat at that point and was cool with Lufy hanging around him and went to save Luffy without thinking about it. Again, this goes beyond some kind of undercover work i you ask me, and again, Shanks being revealed as some kind of evil would be a pretty stupid plot twist.

I'm not sure what undercover work Shanks could have been doing, considering that by this point, he'd have been known as being with the Roger Pirates. And even then, I doubt that Shamrock or Garling would be cool with Shanks just fucking off to become a pirate, let alone one who seems to be doing things under his own banner. As for the scar, I'm not too sure if this was the time of the scar happening because I think this chapter lashback is before Blackbeard had established himself as a pirate to the point where he and Shanks would cross paths.

That makes sense. Then comes the reason why he'd look for it in order to steal it, considering he stole it back when he got back to being a pirate wearing Roger's hat.

Imu and Contracts:
Deep-deep sea contracts are reserved for the chosen few of Imu and only 13 exist in the world.

Five are probably the Gorosei. I think Gunko counts as one. Which leaves seven others.

The Deep-Sea contracts are for the God's Knights which explains their tattoos.

And the shallow sea contracts are for scrubs like Harald

Shanks:
I don't think he's in Mariejois to get the Gomu Gomu/Nika Nika fruit since the St. Marcus Mars mentioned that it had always escaped their grasp. Repeating themes of Roger/Shanks/Luffy, I suspect Shanks in the Holy Land to recruit his first nakama.

@Random Internet Person

I think Shanks is undercover, but likely never got Imu’d. My guess is that the tattoos either allow the elders to go full Devil or whatever. I kinda bet that the Domi Reverse actually works on the same method. If your king or government has a contract with Imu and you are a sea-loving scallawag rather than land lover, you can’t get got.

Gunko is basically like the elders and there’s some memory fuckery about with her. She knows Brook and the tattoos likely are like ownership brands. The higher ones probably can kill you on command.

Basically even though Shanks was a pirate they probably just let him be because he’s a Celestial Dragon and he was warring with the other pirates. Him getting his arm bit off is the Gum Gum fruits whole freedom seeking shit. We’re probably gonna see Harald get remote controlled from Imu and killed for it.

Is he known as a member of the Rodgers pirates? In flash backs we see him just in the crowd of execution and no one seemed to notice the apprentice. Even Harald appears to not really remember him.

Imagine getting this filtered by dramatic irony.
