Did Gear 5 give Luffy any additional Haki?
I'd say Zunesha's and Emet's reactions imply at least that G5 Luffy has a noticeably different haki from regular Luffy.
Mechanically speaking I've been under the impression that awakened fruit powers come from some combination of the fruit's own 'intent' or 'desire' and the user's haki pretty much since Doflamingo brought it up, maybe not so much that it gives the user additional haki, but that they're using their existing haki more in line with the fruit's capabilities (and wants) so they get more mileage for less effort.

At this point, I feel like Elementia Haki could just be canon, it would explain Fishman Karate, Electro, Red Roc, Dragon's Claw (Wind), Haki Lightning, etc.

Captain Widd will return, he literally has Fishmen on his crew.
i do wonder if he will actually show up again or not. i mean he was near elbaf when shanks took him down so its possible he might pop up. plus i think it would be funny if the theory about him being the 7th vegapunk satellite turns out to be true.

i think lucci said something like that as well. but i could be wrong, but devil fruit awakening only happens when you and your fruit are fully in sync. which is why luffy only got gear 5 when he did because his desire to not only beat kaido but also set wano free allowed him to sync up with the desire for freedom that the nika fruit has as well.

I’m willing to bet he comes back for the final war, when Luffy somehow manages to amass an army of a following to Storm Mary Geoise.

There's no way you don't get all supernovas together at least in the same battle even if they don't nonsensically change positions to do a Marvel Women Pose.
I still think the idea is to have it where them and a whole bunch of people come together like the scene in Avengers: Endgame because 1. Luffy is being painted as this great figure of prophecy and 2. IIRC, Oda wants the final war to be Marineford but on a much bigger scale. The only real difference between the two is that Luffy won’t be doing Captain America’s “Avengers…assemble” setup because that’s not the kind of character he is, even if people do end up following him as some kind of leader.

Oda is usually good enough to save that shit for non-cannon title covers and double spread images. Maybe he'll have them all at the beach or barbequing, since he likes to do that too.

i do wonder if anyone will be getting executed this time or if it will just be an all out war thanks to imu revealing himself to the world and or getting revealed by morgans or sabo. i think having luffy be the one who is up for execution again would be enough to start a huge war and a fair amount of people would rush in to save him like how the whitebeard pirates came to save ace.

On another topic, who out of the Straw Hats do you guys think had the saddest backstory? For me, Usopp's and Brooke's backstories actually made me tear up a little, especially Brooke's, especially with the music in the anime.

Well, Robin's home nation was genocided into extinction so hers is clearly the worst but I think Nami's hits hardest for feels while Franky's has the most injustice.

So I've been rewatching Serial Experiments Lain, and it got me thinking about the female "Imuish" characters in One Piece, and their connections with Bears or Bear outfits. I've probably missed some examples, but these are what I remember off the top of my head.
First is the most obvious pairing of Bonney with Kuma.
Second is a bit obscure, but the main villain in the second movie was Bear King. He was obsessed with marrying Nami. Interestingly his crew were all both Animal, and playing card themed like with Kaidou's underlings. The movie also had the first female Logia in the series with Honey Queen. After the Movie they reappeared in a Videogame where you have to help them a little.
Third is Perona. Even as a child she had a pet Bear named Kumae. And like Bonney she has pink hair.
Fourth is Sugar. She wears a Bear hoodie... cape thing... She is sort of like Perona in that she wears/wore a crown, is in a similar position in her group, has a very powerful ability, and was stopped by Ussop. She also has the Grapes like Nami has her Oranges which continues the theme of Fruits being very important in the series (Devil Fruits, The main currency being called Berries, Vegapunk's Applehead, And the Eve Tree's top very likely comes up in Pangaea Castle in Mariejoies since Fishman Island is directly underneath with the obvious Fruit connotation.)
Fifth is Uta. Her Jacket has a Bear hood like Sugar.

I think the idea is that Imu will get Vivi since Imu told the Gorosei to retrieve her, and Luffy will move to save her, but before that, Luffy and company end up on Laugh Tale, and The One Piece is something that makes people want to follow Luffy into battle and make Luffy's mission bigger than what it really is, much like Marineford.

But knowing Oda, this is probably bound to be wrong, and the bigger shock is that I can make a guess on something that could happen that isn't just baseless speculation.

Who's your favorite waifu/husbando from this series? For me, a little basic, but probably the logical choices in Nami or Robin, with Yamato and a dark horse in Miss Stussy being personal favorites as well.

If you're not simping Lilith, I don't even want to talk to you.

Lilith had the best joke from Egghead. In the very beginning when she's mocking the Straw Hats and Shakka's like, "Lilith, you should worry about the swordsman!" And she's like, "Oh no, they sent their retards to distract me!"
