I just want to laugh at funny rubber man doing wacky cartoony shit while he causes his detractors to cope and seethe that they can't lay a finger on him. Everything surrounding him is just a bonus.

That's not what I said either. You guys are coping extremely hard and refusing to admit that the series has serious objective narrative flaws due to Oda's bad-writing after nearly 30 years doing this shit.No one’s going to read your essay on why One Piece is bad. Every couple of months some sperg decides to regurgitate every criticism of the series he collected from 4chan here; no one in this thread, outside maybe one or two other retards, is going to agree with you.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Literally this. Anyone who has an IQ above room temperature and any shred of integrity will admit that the series (like any other piece of media) has flaws. I said it multiple times at this point, I LOVE One Piece, you can love a series and still point out its flaws and criticize it, these 2 concepts are not mutually exclusive. In the same way for example that I love Naruto and I believe its a masterpiece in storytelling (probably my 2nd favorite anime even), I will point out that Kaguya's motivations are pretty dumb and superficial. Does that mean the series as a whole is bad? Absolutely not, again, I am simply not a bootlicker. What the author does isn't a biblical commandment to me.The fact that complaints are becoming more frequent is evidence of their validity. Meanwhile, the people who say that there's nothing wrong and the series is better than ever has whittled down to just three very angry, incredibly stupid posters.
"Hurr durr ur retard"Absolute retard logic. The increase in criticism, both positive and negative, is a consequence of the series becoming more popular. The fact the negative criticism amounts to the same handful of YouTube-derived talking points (themselves pulled from /a/), many of which are supposed to marks against Oda despite being foundational to serialized media if not storytelling in general, are indicative of the less-than-midwits attempting to put something down due to its popularity. If you had things your way the series would be about nobodies losing everything to accomplish nothing.
tl;dr you are a retard whose opinion is formed by other people slightly less retarded.
No.If a series becoming more popular causes an influx of positive and negative criticism, does that not mean that the […] criticism still has some weight to it?
Your talking points specifically have been sourced from youtube.Or do you believe that any criticism in existence is a result of le heckin "youtube talking points"?
The issue is it’s the same “criticism,” verbatim, that low-IQ retards, such as yourself, have mindlessly parroted without actually considering since Wano ended, again all of which could be summed up as fundamental elements to an adventure series dressed up as critique by people, such as yourself, who can’t handle others liking what you don’t.I'll do you better buddy, you're a pretentious retard and emotional toddler who can't accept anyone disagreeing with you about your favorite wittle fictional series.
Do you even like One Piece?I just want the reveal that Joy Boy=Hitler, who sank the world and killed millions as a final spite move after losing to the proto World Government, effectively causing them to go full evil dictatorship simply to save the lives of everyone that Joy Boy didn't kill and brainbroke Lili so badly Frank Grimes style that she created the Imu personality to cope and this is what Riger was laughing about. That the first pirate was a mass murdering psychopath who's evil broke broke everyone who tried to stop him, turning them evil to repeat the cycle so that nothing really changed.
Luffy needs a proper breaking of his very soul before the final stretch and this would be the best way. By showing the natural conclusion of his inherently selfish philosophy and him being forced, preferably with several major members of the Straw Hats perma murdered in front of him (preferably Nani and Zoro) when he initially refuses to force him to bring down the World Government against his will. Which would be the perfect ending to One Piece, with the cycle of tyranny continuing with Luffy forced to become the new Imu and him bitterly ruing the day he first vowed he'd become the pirate king; he gets what he wants and now has zero freedom AND must spend centuries spreading tyranny and horrors oppressing the masses "for their own safety" while knowing that one day sone functionally retarded idiot will rise up and kill him, plunging the world into further violence as far as the circle continuing...
The amount of projection here is fascinating. You're the one sperging your guts out because I pointed out shit that don't make sense (eg: the flood of fake-out deaths). But "ermmmm akshually UR THE ONE WHO CAN'T STAND IT WHEN PEOPLE ENJOY THING YOU DON'T". Amazing.No.

Well aren’t you a morbid fucking prickI just want the reveal that Joy Boy=Hitler, who sank the world and killed millions as a final spite move after losing to the proto World Government, effectively causing them to go full evil dictatorship simply to save the lives of everyone that Joy Boy didn't kill and brainbroke Lili so badly Frank Grimes style that she created the Imu personality to cope and this is what Riger was laughing about. You come here with a conclusion and try to work into justifying it. We provided info as to why your source is wrong/nip-picking/merely expressing subjective opinions and you reeeeed about it. You are not here for a discussion, you are here for consensus. That's not what I said either. You guys are coping extremely hard and refusing to admit that the series has serious objective narrative flaws due to Oda's bad-writing after nearly 30 years doing this shit.
You parroted someone else's opinion. You know what happens when you do that? You end up having to defend a thought you do not fully understand. We can poke holes far more easily. I do not believe that One Piece is perfect. I believe you and that Shane guy fail to properly understand the actual issues with the work. Having Tropes is not a flaw. Having a formula is not a flaw. Pointing out that One Piece does something is nip picking. Identifying Tropes is not criticism. Good for you, you can navigate the TvTropes website. It is the Cinema Sins method and it has become tired. I personally have my own gripes with the story. I, however, try to actually understand what hurts it versus what just bugs me for no reason. I try to separate my own biases. You saw a video that agreed with your bias and instead of asking the question of if this is confirmation bias, you came here like Moses delivering the 10 Commandments.^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Literally this. Think about how stupid the average person is and realize half are worse than that. Yes, negative criticism has weight. A lot of criticism is noise and repetition. Emotions, tastes and biases play roles too. Also, we are not saying that every criticism is "youtube talking points". Just YOUR criticism. Specifically. The whole "coming up with a conclusion and eliminating any evidence to the contrary" is peak "Youtube". We have seen it all. Releasing a video filled with easy to disprove with clickbait title and talking about one's opinion as if it is an absolute fact. It sounds like an atheist trying to own religion only applied to anime. If a series becoming more popular causes an influx of positive and negative criticism, does that not mean that the negative criticism still has some weight to it? Or do you believe that any criticism in existence is a result of le heckin "youtube talking points"?
Name-calling? Seriously? And you call HIM a toddler that cannot take disagreement? Any reflective surfaces in your house? A camera would do too.I'll do you better buddy, you're a pretentious retard and emotional toddler who can't accept anyone disagreeing with you about your favorite wittle fictional series. What are you gonna do? Cry about it?
One Piece of Exceptionally Stupid ChickenshitDo you even like One Piece?
I only really got into One Piece once they went full Blake Seven... On A Boat with the introduction of Robin and the Void Century....Well aren’t you a morbid fucking prick
Well, One Piece is not that kind of story. Never was. Oda is always honest that he wants it to be funny and wacky and to not take itself too seriously. Do not slam the door on your way out as some of us are taking a nap, ok?I only really got into One Piece once they went full Blake Seven... On A Boat with the introduction of Robin and the Void Century....
Nothing short of a full kill them all ending will make it worth the way One Piece kept dragging on and on and on like it did.

That is on me. What I mean to say is that when someone complains about these two gags, they really complain about the sexualization of women. Every time it is the same. One Piece sexualizes both men and women. Also, it is aimed at teenage boys."THAT GUY IN THE VIDEO USED FANSERVICE AS AN ARGUMENT"
Now you are misinterpreting me. That argument is about how stupid such complaints are. Some people are more important than others. Some people know each other. Some are born with immense talent. Some inherited their talents. It is stupid to make the complain "This guy used to be just a strong dude, now he is the strong son of a strong dude". We did not know of Shanks' parentage before so his family could have been strong or weak."WHY ARE YOU COMPLAINING ABOUT STRONG PEOPLE"
Not saying that. I have no idea whether you like the series. If you are to have a hissy fit "I saw this video and came here to find out if it is true that One Piece sucks" then you are to be mocked for it. That is doom and gloom stuff. You are doomposting. Read the story with an open mind and come to your own conclusion. You clearly either fell out of love with the series and are here to be salty or you needed a break after very emotionally exhausting arc. I get it if it is the latter. Just know that most of us are actually liking the direction things are going. We are interested in the twists and turns. We want to see where we will go next."YOU HATE [THING] THEREFORE YOU HATE THE ENTIRE SERIES"
Not saying you do. Just saying you hate it when we find fun in something you have concluded to not have any anymore."CLEARLY YOU HATE FUN"
What do you want me to say? I agree somewhat. Pell should have died. Others should have too. Thing is, the climate at the time meant that editors would not allow overt violence or death depicted unless they knew what they could get away with. After the manga industry was blamed for the Otaku Killer murders, editors became skittish when it comes to this and that. Did the story suffer from the fake-out deaths? Some of them sure. Others not. Just my opinion. Also, people have survived worse in real life than these injuries. Simo Hayha survived an explosive round to the face, there was the video of that bloke surviving lightning and Antrian Carton di Wyart (might be misspelling it) survived far worse shit. One Piece characters are stronger than real humans. Who knows? Maybe it make sense for that world.2. Pretend to agree with but dismiss literally every single argument with some cheap justification ("Fair, BUT..", "This might be true, BUT..", "TO BE FAIR..".. etc). The level of mental gymnastics here is so severe that you even tried justifying the pacing my nigga.. what is actually wrong with you. How much is Oda paying you man? Be honest.
What I said is to be careful about opinions on the internet that agree with your biases. In the internet, there is always those who will agree. We all fell into that rabbit hole once.3. Pretend that any critique is a result of some kind of brainwash caused by mob-mentality from (((them heckin youtubers!!!))) ("DIFFERENT OPINION? SOMEONE PUT THAT IN YOUR HEAD BRO", "THAT THOUGHT ISN'T ACTUALLY YOURS!!", "YOU CLEARLY PARROTED OPINION FROM [youtuber]".. etc). You guys would make excellent flat-earthers.
Same thing could be said about you. You came here with an opinion on a video, we told you what our opinion on it was and then you started a fight.4. [Insult] ("YOU THINK THIS WAY BECAUSE U LOW IQ"). I don't really give a fuck about insults since we're supposed to be grown ass men, but goddamn lmfao. All of this over some stranger online stating his opinion.![]()
This is a place for both disagreements and agreements. You are going to be disagreed with. We disagree all the time here.If I wanted consensus I would submerge myself in some internet "safespace" or hugbox (maybe some private group somewhere idk) where nobody could ever push or challenge my points and beliefs, yet here I am. I started the discussion, I came here to see opinions, and the very first thing you personally did is lie and misrepresent the video and my own critiques (which apparently isn't even my own thought I guess). <- the very definition of "bad faith behavior" btw. That's not how discussions are nor how "providing info" is,
There you go:This is another instance of something I literally never said. I said that One Piece's formula and tropes are poorly executed and repetitive (especially post-timeskip).
You agreed with the guy that said those. I even pointed out that the formula is not even followed most of the time. Some parts of it are but the entirety is not. Here is the REAL One Piece formula: The crew arrives at a place-> Shit hits the fan-> The crew leaves. That is the only standard. Everything else about "the formula" is optional.1. Stagnation (the idea that every arc reuses the same formula to move the story)
2. Repetition (the idea that every arc reuses the same formula to conclude itself)
Who the fuck said that? I said that THIS STYLE of commentary was invented by CinemaSins.Buddy again, what are you even talking about. Do you honestly think that CinemaSins invented criticism?
There are bigger coincidences in real life. This is not like winning the lottery twice in a row (has happened and it was caught on camera). Every story has coincidences. A story that goes on for 30 years will have a lot of them. Reality is a series of coincidences. Sometimes people luck out again and again. That is what keeps a story going. Sometimes, they are shit out of luck. That also keeps a story going. Want to hear a funny story about coincidences? Look up "Timothy Dexter". Reality is stranger than fiction.I only said "cliché" ONCE, and the only instance where I even criticized tropes directly wasn't even that deep, I said that Shanks (the guy with Celestial Dragon blood) being raised by arguably their worst enemy is part of the many conveniences that Oda has been shoving into the story, but even so I stated multiple times that I can understand the appeal for Shanks being a World Noble. Did I or did I not? (so again, you guys are blowing all of this out of proportion and exaggerating any kind of pushback).
You really like your small letters, don't you? Look, good or bad, most opinions are noise. Because they are subjective and everyone has one. Vaccine side-effects are different. You have them or you don't. It is far easier to take that data and analyze it, at least if people are honest.Look at what you're doing here for example.
>Yes, negative criticism has weight
>But people are stupid, biased and a lot of it is noise and repetition
This is another instance where you half-heartedly agree with something, but dismiss it with a very cheap and weak justification. If a series has a fundamental problem that a huge chunk of the fanbase is complaining about.. I think it would be fair to say that AT LEAST SOMETHING is clearly wrong no?
Let me pick a direct parallel to this. Say you're a novice doctor and your job is to monitor the Vaers Database, this database is where people (no matter the age, gender, income level, IQ, race..) can report whether they suffered any kind of adverse effect from a vaccine, and they can do so COMPLETELY ANONYMOUSLY. Now clearly, this poses a problem because you're obviously gonna have trolls, antivaxxers and any type of dishonest individual that'll report something false, thus clearly, there's gonna be A LOT of noise. Now, you as the young doctor you might ask yourself "Hmm.. what's even the point of this? If anyone can state something false and create noise, how can you even find any kind of factual evidence from this?", and the answer is simple, CONSISTENCY. If you have thousands and thousands of individuals who are literally saying the exact same thing without fault, that's a red-flag. This automatically tells you "This is not meaningless noise, something is clearly wrong here", and so the point of the Vaers Database is for doctors to monitor whether there's a consistent pattern of symptoms and reports associated with a particular vaccine, doctors will examine the pattern and determine whether the vaccine is in fact responsible for the effects (and the federal government will even compensate you financially if you did in fact suffer adverse effects! talk about a handy tool).
^Its the same thing, if you have hundreds of thousands of fans (or even millions, since One Piece is really that big) who are saying the exact same thing, do you not think that maybe there's a point there? It stops being meaningless noise and just "people being dumb" when there's a clear and consistent pattern being reproduced (The biggest example of this is the critique towards One Piece's pacing. Practically every single person I interacted with online and offline agrees that the pacing of the series is deranged, thats not noise, its probably the biggest fundamental problem with the series).
It is a sign that you are losing your cool. Calm down.Nigga is literally calling everyone who disagrees with him a retard left and right (me and the other guy who agreed with me), as I always say "If you don't wanna play don't come to the playground".
Even in an autistic slapfight about anime, one can find a bit of wisdom. You know what happens when you do that? You end up having to defend a thought you do not fully understand.
Not gonna act like his fight with Kaido was fun as a fan of cartoons like looney tunes and tom and jerry. It's the one thing i truly appreciate from Gear 5 it's a bizarre transformation for anime where the power boost in this genre as we know is just either angrier and stronger or more stoic and in control Luffy is bouncing around laughing as he sucker punches you through 10 walls.I just want to laugh at funny rubber man doing wacky cartoony shit while he causes his detractors to cope and seethe that they can't lay a finger on him. Everything surrounding him is just a bonus.
It was his first outing. The next fight was funnier. Not gonna act like his fight with Kaido was fun as a fan of cartoons like looney tunes and tom and jerry. And once again the day is saved thanks to the monster trio. And Loki.
