That was the best chapter in a long time, loved the kids doing a "it's too late mom" about watch the giant warriors kick ass. Also the theory of why niggerbeard went to Drum island confirmed.

My only disappointment was I thought Usopp standing up to Imu was going to be a setup for Usopp realizing he has future sight and dodging the attack, but I'll take Usopp standing up to the demonic ruler of the world on behalf of Elbaf.

I'm willing to buy that theory (given that Chopper freaked and was dismissed when he heard the Niggobeard Pirates were hunting Cur-sed Fruit powers) but it doesn't account for Dorry and Brogy getting restored given that they killed each other while reversi'd (and also what I said about Rocks and the Davy Clan after they got reversi'd).

I always forget Blackbeard is referenced that early because you don’t even get a silhouette until he just shows up in Jaya, and even then that’s overshadowed by him being the reason Ace is in Alabasta.
 
I think the Reversei has less to do with Death and is something involving The Game Othello where pieces can flip from Black to White.

fun chapter over all. i love loki and luffy together so far if he does end up joining the crew he is going to be an interesting crew mate. as far as chopper is concerned though either he hit a giant so hard it killed him instantly or the human-human fruit has the ability to turn demons into humans which would mean chopper could in theory be specifically broken against gods knights and maybe even imu?

overall im actually kind of shocked how easy the gods knights are getting fucked up now sure they are immortal and will just recover but i expected some actual fights. but i guess all thats left now is to see what can be done with gunko/imu usopp did pretty good damage so i expect loki and luffy together will just insta win unless loki gets controlled.

I think that the God's Knights are not used to fighting against opponents that know what they are doing.
 
I was never particularly impressed by the God's Knights but didn't expect them to be reduced to off-panel defeats in their first real arc. I guess it had to happen for pacing purposes.

Is it me or this is mostly because of Gear 5 Luffy being present? Because it seems like none of the stuff that happened in the last couple chapters are even possible before Gear 5 Luffy shows up on the battlefield. I think the Nika fruit subconsciously makes the impossible possible just by being activated like a Tom and Jerry episode where Tom gets humiliated by Jerry under borderline impossible circumstances and buffs everyone who believes in Nika to a noticeable extent. We saw that happen on Egghead somewhat where Gear 5 gets activated and somehow everyone, even Dorry and Brogy are literally wrestling Elders. There is a reason why the World Government goes out of its way trying to get rid of that because it's pretty much anathema to them.

what the hell would an awakened human-human fruit transformation look like? super heavy point? i always felt that chopper's fruit was more of a "turn into any kind of human" deal rather than "turn into a human" which is why he can turn into the kung fu egg people and giants, whereas his normal forms were a product of him screwing with his powers through the rumble balls. it's like he's taking roids to turn into a giant sea urchin for guard point. he can just do that shit now, not that he ever does anything other than kung fu point and monster point when he needs to end a fight.
