That’s what I got too. And my prediction for the next chapter is that Imu and Loki’s fight will be either Imu winning (even if he has to cheat), or Loki holding his own to show his max potential, and the fight being some kind of stalemate, and then Imu fucking off once Luffy is back in fighting shape just to keep Luffy locked out of the loop in regards to the endgame, meta, and his part in the bigger picture and the lore.
My bet is that Loki is going to put up a show but will be bricked VERY hard at the end. If Shanks and/or Luffy doesn't show up later on to help him he's dead.

I'm tired of seeing people excited for this new remake. I love how the old episodes look and it really surprises me to see people don't enjoy it. I find it interesting how different older anime like Dragon Ball have very vocal enjoyers of the old style while something like One Piece doesn't. Bah I'm just tired of remakes and live action shows in general, always rehashing the same fucking shit over and over just with a glossy shade of paint over it.
Welcome to the late modern era, I am sure that people no longer create nowadays, they just go #DSPRecap style.

I think Imu has health issues and will withdraw without killing key characters but while being clearly stronger than everyone. But my potential twist is that he dies here and Blackbeard is the final boss. The final boss of the pirate manga being the most famous pirate really appeals to me.

I don’t think Imu will die here. He’s too connected to the endgame and a lot of the questions that still need to be answered. Though I do think Blackbeard will try and make a power move , and that’ll set up the real clash between him and Luffy.

lol absolutely not and I agree because every time we see Blackbeard he is doing something deliberate behind the scenes of whatever is happening in the current arc. He's definitely been planning on the side.

Presumably he's got some plans for Moira's fruit given what the prior owner was using it for.

Wonder whose body he could staple Garp's shadow to?

so those omen things are totally just good omens and bad omens. bad omens damage enemies and good omens are used to power up allies. i bet gear 5 luffy can do something similar but has not realized it yet. think how bonney powered up but instead of using a devil fruit power luffy just sets you free or whatever. secondly something about the way imu looks is really making me think he was a pirate at some point.

he does not look like royalty at all he looks like a pirate maybe from davy jones time? it would be funny if imu was on davys crew and betrayed him like how blackbeard was on whitebeards crew only to betray him by killing thatch and taking his fruit. another thing that makes me think imu was a pirate is the 3 skulls on his pants they almost remind me of blackbeards jolly roger. i also still think the cape on his back is a jolly roger or something similar but we shall see.

all that aside the dots all over imus body seem suspicious as well for some reason. like i cant tell if they are just part of the other markings or maybe something else. it will be interesting to see how loki deals with him i think he is going to put up a fight but lose in the end.

ive seen others point it out elsewhere but after looking back enel and imu do sorta have similar outfits. it makes me wonder if enel knew about imu or some type of legend related to him that was just passed around the various sky islands.

I still believe Kishimoto and Oda did a retarded pact where both's big bad would be based on the Kaguya myth. It just so happened Oda took an extra 15-20 years to get there making Kishi look even more like a retard.

As for Imu unleashed. Still unsure about the design. I prefer the squallid shadow with the crown and that he looks nothing like that leaves me miffed on what is the true form or what have you. A part of me was also hopimg for something incredibly goofy but that could project proper dread and menace with some proper shading.

Good to see he's a proper threat though and honestly hope he trashes Loki and nullifies Luffy to a degree, everything has been feeling too easy for the mugis for a while now. The gods knights have actually felt like pushovers once actual fisticuffs started. Also intetested to see how much of a step up is a good omen for them.

That is a stupid theory. The idea that the big bad is an alien probably is inspired by DBZ. Both went for a far different approach. Why would Oda make a pact like that with Kishi anyway? They are friends but why?

Hey now Kaguya was better than Obito and Madara..

At least Kaguya got got by Sexy Jutsu.
The last part of Naruto was weird. I have no better way to describe it. The idea that Kishimoto had no idea on how to defeat Madara makes sense though. He had him not use most of the path abilities and got him killed by Zetsu of all things.

Also if Imu is an alien or is based off of Kaguya, this didn't come out of nowhere. Space pirates exist, and the Moon was shown to have had civilization (Lunarians or others) that migrated to the Blue Planet for resources. Anime-only fans on suicide watch.

It's a joke dude, Christ.

i dont think imu is an alien but i do think he is yet another copycat. trying to copy someone or something from the void century or further back and getting it all wrong.

Ivankov did say that Imu was from the old days and got the life operation from Law’s devil fruit. And I guess all that’s left is to confirm that.

It’s probably going to be a win for Imu or a stalemate, since the idea is to show what kind of threat Imu is, and probably to show the full power of Loki. And then we’ll get some stuff about the state of Elbaf as the state of the world and that should end the arc. As for “nullify Luffy”, I’m not sure if we get that since 1. That’s too connected to the endgame and Oda probably doesn’t want to reveal too much too soon, and 2. I think Imu will fuck off after fighting Loki since that’d deal with the Elbaf threat in Imu’s mind. Also, Luffy is still out of energy so any big things surrounding the lore can be explored since Luffy doesn’t know or care about those things and will only go after Imu once Imu captures Vivi (probably).
