What is the nerona family?
i meant nerona family as in imu. since he was one of the first 20 one can assume he was the member of a royal family so its possible we could have a situation similar to the donquixote family where imu is the doflamingo of the group where as the others were off doing their own things or maybe got taken in by someone else. like how shanks ended up being raised by roger. maybe mihawk is related to imu but was raised by a wandering swordsman or something.
Assuming I'm not being too autistic,
would the Navy & Marines either being destroyed or in open rebellion severly weaken Imus Omen?
i dont think thats how the omen works. i think its based on people he has made pacts with which is why losing gods knights is a bad thing though i would not be surprised if sakazuki made a pact with imu and just keeps it quiet.

I guess this makes sense as Mihawk is the only big player who doesn't have some link to the WG/CD/Imu conspiracy plotline. I really hope it's something like he found something denoting some ancient swordsman technique related the the ancient kingdom and not something retarded like him being a failed clone of Imu.

I'm also going with Imu's DF being the incarnation of man's desire to dominate others in contrast to Nika being the incarnation of man's desire for freedom.

i doubt mihawk is a clone since that would make s-hawk a clone of a clone.

The Official Translation gives a different context to the Trio of Domination powers that Imu seems to have

Omen seems to be connected to envy, which would play into the fact that Imu might have betrayed Joyboy.

I think the series of events might play out as (in large strokes)

Imu is on Joyboy, the first pirate's crew and is the "Buggy" tm
Joyboy and his Kingdom go to War with the Proto-World Government which was lead by Davy Jones.
Imu betrays Joyboy out envy which allows Davy D Jones to become "King of the World"
Imu then betrays Davy D Jones because again envy then convinces the other 18 rulers that the best way to rule the world is if the "King" of the world is secret and set up the empty throne grift.
Lili nopes out of this plan because she isn't an evil cunt and lets the poneglyphs out.

I also am 50/50 on Imu actually having a fruit power and it might be something directly from "The Abyss" rather than the Devil Fruits.

In the Poem for the second world "A Breath stirred in the Abyss." and "The God of the forest wove their magic, nurturing it's devils" look like two distinct thoughts to me..

Sounds like a war against Nika, except Nika was going into this fight/war with something more profound than Loki’s sense of “I’m here to wreck shit” or Luffy’s “you hurt my friend/this person who gave me food. I’m going to fight you now.”

Sounds logical. My thing is that the payoff will be when Imu finally takes on Luffy, he realizes Luffy is the new Joy Boy and realizes that Luffy is a fucking idiot who doesn’t care about his long grudges.

I think Luffy will eventually care..when everything comes out and it is proven that Imu is a shitstain that deserves to have his head kicked in.

Example : Ceaser. Luffy really didn't care about Ceasar's bullshit until Cesar started killing his own minions..then Luffy threw out the capture plan and straight up tried to kill the guy. I could see Imu doing something similar, or when the Udon guards laughed at Yausie's death, Luffy was pretty mad about that IIRC.

Also random thought.

St. Saturn was supposedly a Devil Fruit user with the Spider Demon Fruit right?
The Text Box does not call it the Spider Spider Fruit...
and if it is a Devil Fruit..why would Imu kill Saturn in a spot he couldn't reclaim a very powerful fruit and Risk it going to a Random Marine?

Imu's whole thing was having the Devil fruit, and not the Devil Devil Fruit. My guess is that Imu and the Gorosei have some massive power above anything we've seen at this point.

That or Imu kidnaps Vivi, and she's in the same position Ace was at Marineford. Also, I'm pretty sure the God's Knights are meant to be the same irredeemable pricks as the Celestial Dragons, except they can fight. At most, Luffy just knows there's someone with an insane amount of Conqueror's Haki on Elbaf, and I think Oda will keep that the only inkling of a clue Luffy has of someone like Imu until Imu makes a simpler move to get Luffy's attention.

Devil fruits don't reappear right next to the dead user. They reappear somewhere at random. If they came back next to the dead user, there'd be a lot of low-level marines running around with crazy powers after Marineford.

I don't think it is random, the one time we saw the process with slimey the fruit chose a fruit that was pretty close to the dead user, if it were completely random then that is a cosmic tier coincidence

And Mingo found the Mero Mero No Mi, I am willing to bet he nabbed it from Marineford.

They reappear at a nearby fruit.

I assumed that Mingo had the correct fruit nearby as he knew Ace would likely die. He probably made sure his fruit was the nearest one.

this makes me think of that theory that said that all of the gorosei were just members of joyboys crew that imu corrupted with his ability which is why saturn being so easily replaced by garling seemed to genuinely shock them. that being said davy jones was supposedly cursed by a devil to live on the sea floor so maybe that devil was imu?

I have been wondering if Imu is a red herring for the Immortality fruit and that Davy got it, and was cursed to live under the sea on an underwater island at the end of the Grand Line.

Also you know what is kind of weird? Loki says the typical giant lives 300 years, that means the War and the Void was only like 3 Full Giant Lifetimes ago. The older giants should have second hand knowledge at worst

Saturn didn't know Emet. That tells us that he wasn't a member.

Thinking about the Mihawk connection:

Mihawk's sword has always stuck out to me, it looks so wildly different to every other sword in the show. So maybe Mihawk's sword and fighting style are a remnant of the ancient kingdom?

yeah that might be the case actually. though if thats the i would wonder why imu did not either try and kill mihawk or recruit him since having the best swordsman in the world on your team seems like a good idea. unless there is something about mihawks fighting style that makes him hard for imu or the gorosei to defeat.
