Could be. However, Oda doesn't subvert expectations so much. Could be wrong though. For now, most signs point to Imu. Him needing life could be a side-effect of his powers. Vampires thirst for blood as it is part of the design. Perhaps devils work similarly. Perhaps life increases his power instead of his lifespan. Or it is the ingredient that allows him to increase other's powers. Big Mom sacrificed her lifespan for a powerboost. Maybe it is similar.

at the moment I think Davy is the one who got the Ope Ope surgery and is at Laugh Tale and knows Imu's weakness.

We never see that it's a Poneglyph that is making the Roger pirates laugh, just that they are laughing.

i think you are right about that. remember when saturn died something seemed to leave his body before he turned into a skeleton. im thinking his long life is due to the fact that the gods knights give him their entire lifespan which allows them to become essentially immortal all while imu is allowed to live even longer. that is one of the reasons why i think imu wanted harold as well since giants live way longer than humans. there is most likely a catch to this power if it is the case though.


also either davy jones or the man marked by flames got the surgery i think.

What if Davy Jones is actually a 50 foot tall winged dragon, like the one on the top of the Elbaph Harley Mural, and Davy D. Jones and Nidhogg are just something else altogether?

And what if Imu got his immortality not directly through the op-op fruit surgery, but in some other way that could be tied to the fruit like eating Davy Jones' heart after killing him (assuming if both Imu and Davy Jones are literally giant monsters rather than people)?

gonna be honest i don't watch any of these people since their content is so vapid they have the same reactions with every shounen. They're all about hype and "aura" lol
 
its always bothered me how the rest of rogers crew was allowed to live but roger himself was killed even though his whole crew knows whats on laugh tale. its not like they are in hiding either. they all just live places that anyone can get to at any time nor are they pretending to be dead.

shanks and buggy i can understand since they never made it to laugh tale plus i think shanks was being protected since garling was hoping to get him back. but whats stopping them from telling everyone? or better yet what was stopping big mom from finding one of them and making pudding look at their memories?

either rogers crew is all so strong that nobody short of imu himself could defeat them or whatever is on laugh tale is something so ridiculous that even if they did decide to tell somebody nobody would believe them. which is why its made to sound like something you will only believe if you see it yourself.

which makes me think that while roger most likely did leave all of his treasure on laugh tale there is something beyond all that. something silly that only someone like luffy or roger would appreciate. something that goes beyond just treasure or lore or any of that.

Aside from the ones we've seen, there's been no confirmation on whether the rest of the crew is alive or dead.

If the Crew were not blabbing about what they learned then not messing with them is a good way to keep them not blabbing, if you start sending God's Knights after them and riling them up then that increases the chance of them blabbing.

Like we know Roger's crew BTFO the God's Knights, so that means the Elder Stars need to start showing up, which means a real big disaster of a fight which you can't really do secretly, this means that if you go after Rayleigh and that means the rest are going to be incentivized to gather together which means you need multiple elder stars or Imu himself AND they are now very incentivized to just start saying everything they know as a "fuck you"
