OneShot - A game about a Anthropomorphic Cat with no pronouns that holds a light bulb that's also a sun? - When being a Big Shot is not enough...

Personally, I have noticed there are a lot of these people with Niko pfps that are showing up on the farms. That concerns me a little bit. So I decided to make a thread for them as a containment for them. But here are some things I know about Oneshot:

1.) You play like a wizard cat, I think? To get a light bulb to the highest point of the planet that the main character has woken up on and try to find a way home.

2.) The game is over ten years old and is starting to make a resurgence due to gen-z furries and other weird gooned-out communities (not here in the farms I hope) bringing it back to the gaming genre in a way.

3.) While typing this, I learned that the Tranny developer cut off their balls and then TURNED THEM INTO FUCKING EAR RINGS! This shit is real and there is a video that is nine minutes long about this

I might not play the game myself, nor do I want to after what pointing out the third fact earlier. I wanted to make a thread for Oneshot enthusiasts that I hope are decent people around the thread that like this game. So far, the ones that I met were nice and not freaks and I want them to share some memes, gameplay, and discussions about the game. But a fucking story of the developer making their balls into jewelry just needs to be put on the watch list like what the fuck. Let alone there own thread. But with that being said, have fun posting.

he's not a wizard that's just how he dresses lol

Oh don't worry. I've known of the game since 2017 (played it around then, replayed it multiple times) and just thought it was a cool game.

Unfortunately, he in fact did that. Thankfully he wasn't the artist of the game (who's a real woman) and didn't design most of the characters (including Niko) and the Steam release was also programmed by a Cave Story modder or something.

I remember seeing Niko in VRChat all the way back in 2018, so the game's always been a bit popular. It's just kinda remained as one of those relatively niche RPGMaker games that gets a small resurgence of popularity every now and then. Also, Niko as a character is popular enough that he spawned a decent amount of copycats (pun unintended), such as the protag of In Stars and Time.

I have yet to meet anyone who uses OneShot images who did not turn out to be an insane zoophile furfag (redundant). Much like Rain World and Night in the Woods it seems that deeply crazy people are drawn to this game and inevitably make it a part of their permurrsonality. I view this character the same way I view "boykisser," "protogens" and the dog from "Changed," flashing alarm signs with bells on.

I got 1shot in late 2016 and played thru it once and i haven't actually played thru any of the updates like solstice that came out since, but I like the cat so i'm ok with it. I saved niko btw and screwed that world to eternal damnation.

Yeah matt velasquez or whatever that gringo calls xerself has been a terminally underreported weirdo for years; If I remember the biggest character they contributed to in the game was the sheep herder you meet in glen that was basically a self insert. There's a lot of indie devs and indie dev fandoms that are fucking deranged cesspools that I avoid like the plague, inclusive to 1shot fandom which rightfully deserves a KF post.

Interesting. It's been less than 24 hours ago that ChatGPT recommended OneShot as a game for me because I asked it to recommend to me games with good writing and narrative.
Before, it recommended a game which, apparently, featured themes of homosexuality. After a bit of playing, I straight up told it something like "is homosexuality a theme in this game or is it just a red herring? Because I am seeing foreshadowing towards that direction", and it confirmed to me that it was in the game. When I told it that I don't want any of that shit, it recommended OneShot.
And now a thread shows up in my KF notifications to inform me it's about trannies and furries.
Now, is that meaningful? You can make the argument that Fallout New Vegas is somehow a tranny game, but if you were to play that game without interacting on the Internet, and you are mentally healthy, would you ever make a tranny association?
Is that the same thing with OneShot or is ChatGPT just (((pozzed)))`?

I never heard of it. I've seen the cat before and assumed the cat was somebody's OC. I might buy it since it's on sale and will run on my potatotop.

Tried the Steam version, it was okay, although it was obvious how the game was setting you up to guiltrip you with NIcky. I choose to sacrifice the world to save the kid and return him to his world (watching the other ending in Youtube, the pro move, kek). Then the new story undoes everything to set up a golden ending that felt bland. Also, lots of ranting and talks in the new story, with clear padding everywhere.

Also, I believe the "they/them" inanities of Nick ramped up with the unique story of Steam.

I played the game ages ago (due to a NitroRad video) and enjoyed it. In fact it was so long ago I wasn't even aware of the whole pronouns thing in general so I didn't even notice. I just "assumed Niko's gender" as a boy.

The Solstice update making a meta "perfect" ending from replaying the game ruined the original story and felt too "Undertale". I enjoyed the melancholy of a dying world and I thought it conveyed that well. Never interacted with the "fandom", didn't even know it existed.

I wish this thread wasn't made, I did not want to know about the troon demon. But, like The King in Yellow, I can't unread it.

Oh well, I am used to ignoring the existence of the Author as need be (Ever since the Dumbledore is gay incident)
