They are likely killing the channels retention rates and meta analytics, via the podcast being on the main channel. Understand that whilst having a podcast is an easy means of video coverage and money via sponsorships, it will harm your channel's discoverability on YouTube UNLESS you make a channel dedicated for it. YouTube's data tracking is vicious and even the slightest blip will see your videos punished.

Companies like Discotek have taken anime that had the main character change sexes, reword it heavily for "TRANS SAFETY" and the people in charge are all these men who claim to not want negative attention or be harassed because their trans UwU, and then go to conventions dressed up as whores/slutty versions of their favorite anime characters. And since they don't look the part they invite all this supposed negativity upon them.

It's hilarious to watch unfold. Because I'm pretty sure at this point they don't care if it's negative or positive attention, they just want attention and being a self declared sexual minority is the gateway towards that.
