I remember loving his big compilation video, but watching non-selected bits of Cory can be pretty painful. He didn't seem this annoying during SleepyCabin either.
Cory and Adam are good in small doses. Their dumb guy personalities make me XD but Cory especially wears thin if you listen to him for too long. There are times on sleepycabin where the other guys are very open about being annoyed with him

I think they're a very good example of the difference between an autist (Corey) and a retard (Adam). I agree with them being entertaining as long as Adam isn't the one playing. In an ideal world we get either DD or Lyle to be the player full time.
I think Tomar fills that role best. The best trio in this era is Chris, Zack, and Tomar. You get the autism from Chris and Zack and Tomar acts as the straight man and plays the game, reacting to what the two are saying. Lyle tries to one-up everyone and is occasionally funny, Cory talks over everyone about topics nobody gives a shit about which can be funny but in a group of four it gets grating, and Adam is good when he doesn't have to compete.
I agree, but also think that the spice of life is what keeps it fresh. Even if I'm not a fan of a particular grouping, it's still fun to see the different dynamics. I also find Oneyplays to be one of the more rewatchable channels, so I will occasionally just listen to a classic playthrough as background noise if the newer stuff is getting stale. (I guess it helps that I don't care about the gameplay that much.) (Also, being a fellow retarded autist helps make them not seem so bad, although the Cory degeneracy coomer shit sometimes is too much even for me to handle in my palace of puzzle pieces.)
Yeah, for example I'm enjoying their Sonic Heroes playthrough but I'd enjoy it a lot more if Corey could keep his degeneracy to himself (or at least not go into such detail about it).
Id agree. Maybe I'm an old head but if the new stuff's stale ill put on some old DD&J videos and keep it as background noise as I just prefer the original trio. Again you're right about the spice of life and all and they did little things like bring super mega on once in a while but for the most part, it was very watchable with just the three of them. They are very rewatchable for some reason and since I watched them when I was much younger I didn't get most references, but watching them again all these years later is like looking through a different pair of lenses.
Thinking back, I think the series I enjoyed the most first time around was BeamNG.
It's weird because I like the Zach-Tomar-Lyle era a lot more than the DD-Julian era, but the one I tend to fall back on the most is the Kingdom Hearts LP. I don't even like KH, but their ongoing bit with sadistic Goofy just kills me, and the Pirates of the Caribbean theme lyrics bit is the hardest I've laughed at anything from the channel.
I like any LP with Zach in general. Whenever he's on it feels more like a podcast.
Wind Waker is infinitely rewatchable. Chris is clearly having so much fun with it.
