I can't stand this shit anymore. The degen part of Cory gets more and more prevalent as he stays on for a longer while, and it's getting really grating. No one cares if he drew porn of [current game being played] or how much he wants to jack off to some vidya characters. He is the most tolerable when it's a sanic series, since I at least expect to get funny autistic shit like the McDonald's toys.
He should just do his own stuff, be a guest from time to time and not overstay his welcome.

I am 99% sure that the reasoning behind him being here for so long IS to make people sick of Cory so they won't request for his return for a while lol, I'm even betting my shoe that he told them he was gonna be extra degen just to pour salt into the wound
 
I like Cory because I can't finish a full series with him in it in one go, so I always have a good backlog of OP to watch. I've still not finished Sonic Heroes and only just watched the ep where they finished Team Rose's story the other day.

Also if anyone caught the DD&J Halloween stream earlier today/last night, DD is definitely 100% for sure totally seriously going to sever his online presence and move on from being known as DD. It's funny that the "post-stream discussion" steam was gonna be about 15 mins and turned out to be almost half as long as the halloween stream itself.

I know the dude has these manic or depressive episodes a lot but god, he might be the most depressive indie dev/content creator/whatever online I've seen in a while. A good few hours of "woe is me, the industry is going to hell, the internet sucks, corporations suck, everything sucks, nothing will ever get better, don't criticize me or i'll cry, please give me criticism or i'll cry, we're in the red, we have some savings, we have no money, we have some money, my twitter following isn't as profitable as it looks, patreon isn't as profitable as it looks, I don't want to make games, I want to make games, I hated every single of let's playing, I had fun in the LPs, Trigger Treat was just to make money it was never a passion project, boycotts don't work, you're stupid for believing things will change, i'm not defeatist, i'm not pessimistic, everything sucks, i've not felt like myself in years."

Saddest part by far was Julian going to bed and DD going "but I want to be with you". Then turn off the stream and go be with your BF, you fucking ape? Instead he spent another 3 hours doing the above. I've always enjoyed his presence on OP as one of the chiller guests who has real insight into gamedev and all that as well as being naturally funny a lot of the time but I really hope he fucks off and goes to find himself spiritually or something.

Nah people like DingDong won't ever change not because they can't but because they don't want to. It's a lot easier to complain about life and be aware of the problem than taking initiative to grow as a person and become healthy. Even more so since he has an audience of people who will listen to him as he makes these streams his therapy sessions.

I think he's just a retard who is too open about his private life. I've had plenty of similar friends who I really enjoy hanging out with, but can't handle extended contact with. ISn't he just staying around because of covid or something? I do remember him replying to comments a while ago the last time he stayed saying "Well you'll see me again later" So he might just be fucking with those people lol.

Dingdong sounds like the textbook example of a victim of troonery. Real talk though, dude's probably just having a mid-life crisis.
 
obviously corey can be funny-- especially when he's loudly giving chris the worst possible game advice-- and fwiw he's a genuinely talented artist, but my issue with him is his tendency to trample all other conversation. like someone said above, he never goes more than 1 second without talking. as a result, far funnier, more varied and i'm sorry but way more clever and imaginative ppl like zach and tomar just get drowned out by him shrieking the same question or assertion or demand over and over.

i second the call for a sonic containment zone. shit he can have the pokemon games too since idgaf about those. having every new video be like 90% corey antics for weeks has gotten tedious

Yeah, every episode with Corey in it is a Corey episode - which isn't true for the rest of the gang.
In fairness, Lyle was kindof like this when he first started out being a more prevalent guest, but he moderated and presumably either adjusted to the format or took some advice, and he's now a solid cast member. He's mostly stopped trying to do setup-payoff jokes that require talking over people, which was his big issue when he first started, so maybe Corey would eventually moderate. Probably not, though.

As a now-and-then thing, he's great. The RE3 playthrough is a good time. But Skinwalker Hunt really has no legs as a series compared to the original duo of Witch Hunts because they're just more Corey episodes.

A weird thing about Lyle, his voice or at least his, uh, inflection? is really different in the Sleepycast episode he appears in, to what he sounds now. He sounds so much more forced in that one.

I noticed something similar with Chris. I don't know if it's the microphone, but his voice now sounds deeper. Compare it with his older videos (like Oney in America or the original Dark Souls playthrough).

Early early Lyle was super insufferable. I dont think he knew how to properly vibe and riff along with everybody else, And was basically just acting like his normal Pregame Discharge self. It wasnt until like mid modern era Oneyplays where Lyle saw people didnt like him, and then changed the way he acted. Now he fits right in.

As for Corey. I dont know what it is in my own personal retard brain, but i love every episode Corey is in. Something about just how retarded he is and how retarded he knows he is strikes something within me that always makes it entertaining for me. I do wish sometimes he stay quiet and let one of the others say a quip and not talk over them. But aside from that I love the corey is sticking around for as long as he is. He makes a good regular. A better one than Adam in my opinion... though he should probably be put in rotation more. I have a feeling hes in almost every episode because hes living with Chris at the moment. But I dont know how true that is.

IIRC Corey had covid while visiting and ended up staying alot longer than expect, but i dont think he's living with chris.

The choice between Corey and Adam is a hard one because Adam's voice is softer and not nearly as grating as Corey's but Adam is a whole other level of retarded, so if gun to my head having to choose either i'd just shoot myself
