If Zach was going to be cancelled for old shit it would have happened right after the premiere of Smiling Friends not now. That's generally when people come out of the woodwork to tear people down after a big project. The only times he's dropped the hard Nbomb were on 90 min long episodes of Sleepycabin from over 7 years ago. You'd have to go out of your way to sit and dig through them to find it. I think even then it's been almost a decade so if he had to he could disavow it.

i'm gonna be honest, people should stop holding others accountable for dumb shit they said years ago. move on, people grow. and if they don't, at least they're not making a fool of themselves on the internet

I think he'll be fine.
If people were going to try it would have been when the show was announced/when it premiered but season 2 is already in the works.
I think to kick something like taht off at this point he'd have to say something that'd piss a lot of people off right now, not 5+ years ago.
One of the massive advantages of OneyPlays is the heavy use of editing both for entertainment value but also to protect Chris and friends the mob. This also has the advantage of letting them really talk however they want and if they say something a little too far they just Donkey Kong it out so conversation gets to be very natural/no walking on eggshells.

Tomar has literally committed dozens of war crimes and is still a voice actor. So I think Zach will be fine.

It should also work the other way around regarding "canceling" certain pieces of media just because a certain person was involved. You think someone who does shitty things today is the same person as when they were in their prime? It's very much possible to become worse as time goes on instead of better.

I want to say they did a good job of censoring the naughty nigger word most of the time. The only uncensored time I remember off the top of my head is THE GASP and that's because saying it was the joke. Chris's reaction always makes me laugh.

He definitely said it more than that. I remember he told a story about his grandfather saying "Martin Nigger King Day." It doesn't help that he said several racist jokes throughout the podcast.
