I'm a tourist here so sorry if this has been brought up before, but are Ding Dong and Julian clips not allowed to show up in the Best of series anymore? Just something I've noticed.
DingDong's streams go almost entirely unarchived and all so you'll hear a slightly different answer from everyone given that he'll say something else about it on a different day. He's given these three answers on different instances:
1) He didn't want to be just known for, or peaking at OneyPlays and wanted to do his own thing. Especially because it was Chris's thing that he was only supposed to be on temporarily in the first place.
2) Bad experiences with the fans, or overall not liking the sort of parasocial fans that Gamegrumps and Oneyplays had, the
"I could be friends with these guys" delusional types.
3) DingDong opted for the anonymous moniker very early on because he felt having a face and name attached made people less genuine, and part of this attitude includes wanting to fade out if he doesn't like the vibe online.
Winterfag explained it pretty well too.
Ding Dong and Julians beef is with Erin Hanson and Game Grumps if I'm not mistaken,
DingDong later defended Arin's involvement on one of his infamous over-lengthy lore dump streams. I think
THE one in vague terms. He said Arin was actually helpful to him and Julian all throughout their involvement together, even gave them furniture when they first moved in and really "gave them a place to sleep". He stayed hushed on who caused the problems, but since it was Brian and Suzy who called it out on Twitter I imagine it was them. Arin has a history of being simultaneously kind and giving, but also buckling to any pressure that risks his business - so I believe that's the case.
Julian does look noticeably Indian.
Mexico has a rather substantial Cherokee population and I never noticed it in Julian. Give it another decade he'll look like some of those older Native American movie stars.
