OneyPlays - have a boy... with friends

Yeah, but that's how you know they're a liar. They made an extravagantly long and overcomplicated story.

Or as an addict would say after telling you a long story about why $20 is missing from your wallet, "That's how you know it's true."

EDIT: Wait, why am I playing devil's advocate for this shit? Fuck it, they're terrible writers that have interesting ideas but no talent to back it up.
I was about to say, lol. Besides, everything in the game is an extravagantly long and overcomplicated story. Look how long it took for a cat to steal a grocery list from Alex, after all.

I can't be the only one that thinks that it's pretty convenient that all the women that Alex lusts for are actually the same soul, like that would stop you from thinking that he is a creep that drops women more fast than I drop toilet paper after wiping my ass with it.

Rory shared a soul with Vella?

It is convenient, which is why it’s not actually the truth. Sami and Vella are different people and the Robot is just part of Proto-Alex’s soul.

I have seen a theory that this universe’s version of Vella is Rory, since it seems every universe’s version of Alex comes into every version is Vella’s life and eventually makes them feel so shitty that they want to die/go to soul space.

Isn't he the only other character that Alex Yiik tries to kiss

No, he can successfully kiss Vella or Essentia during the 30 day training sequence, and since the robot isn't actually part of that soul or some shit I guess that counts as a seperate character god this is retarded.

Meet 'N' Fuck Frankton (alternatively: Alex Yiik's Love Quest)

The only female in the party he doesn't try to go after is Chondra, I guess Rory took that spot for some reason though they are technically siblings I guess? god this is so convoluted.

I mean, if the robot is part of his soul, then he’s just kissing himself. Or part of himself. so the theory could still work.

You know what, that's kind of fitting, even if this shouldn't be as convoluted and difficult to figure out as it is.

Anyways, I can't wait for them to reach the training sequence, it's one of the worst segments of the game gameplay wise, which is something new because YIIK's gameplay has been very stagnant so far.

So for anyone who doesn't know, after the Essentia dungeon, Alex and co. are all like "oh shit we need to train because the end of the world is coming!", and the game gives you a month to do so, where you can only do one thing per day, whether it be one sidequest, one trip to the mind dungeon, or one "hangout" session. The hangout sections are just character interactions and exposition dumps, sidequest and mind dungeon are obvious. But here's the thing, unless you've done literally no sidequests up to the this point and are being a completionist, it's very hard to fill all the days with something, and since you can't just skip to the time limit, you have to constantly reset the day over, and over, and over. It's one of the worst parts gameplay wise and I can't wait to see them trudge through it.

Also it doesn’t really matter anyway since the boss you’re training for is a scripted loss and everyone but Alex dies and is literally erased from existence.

Wait, does anyone really care about spoilers for YIIK?

I think everyone who discusses yiik here know what's going on, now the question is if ding dong knows about it being a scripted loss and tells Chris to rush it
Best case scenario they do a bit where they fast forward or something, but we need to see Chris break apart

Honestly the best part of every YIIK playthrough I've watched is the ensuing breakdown as the player realizes everything up to that point was fucking pointless and that the training segment itself was pointless.

So if we don't get that breakdown that'll be a real shame. Also can't wait for their reaction to proto-Michael, as YIIK throws away another good idea in a straightman to Alex. (Even though Michael barely serves that role past his introduction, and his role is taken over more by Panda, which is pointless since Panda only shares screentime with Alex when he's alone.)

You'd think that dumbass decision would've been one of the things edited or changed, even allowing you to 'win' a portion of the fight would make it feel significantly less like getting flipped off. Nah instead dude slightly improved basic attack minigames and makes the Llama an edgelord.

Changing the Alpaca scene was a great idea, the original was fucking atrocious. But when the dev was told "Hey, this sucks, it breaks the tone and it's retarded." apparently he decided to just go in the opposite edgelord direction.

The patch was mostly pointless outside of making the Alpaca scene slightly less shit and making the combat slightly less shit, but I do stand by the fact that there is one good addition in the patch. There's a song that replaces the song in Alex's house where the lyrics hint at Alex's dad being missing from his life, which makes sense as to why he became an asshole... Yep, that's the only good thing I can think of about the patch. They took a year between reveal and release of the patch and they barely changed shit, didn't even add that retarded third ending they kept cockteasing on their socials. What a pointless patch.

And then you get to the final final boss and that’s a scripted loss too. The only way to win is to skip the battle entirely and pull two switches. Then “you”(the player) become the one and only “Alex”.

Now THAT’S the part I want to see Chris react to: being told he’s just another Alex.

“Look Chris, it you.”

God the ending has so many good moments, the scene where Alex cries over panda, the stuff you mentioned, the scene where Alex comes up in the player's computer and it's revealed he's been monolouging the story back to you the entire time as a meta twist, what the names from the beginning are used for.

There's so many perfect moments for them to react to, YIIK's ending has to be my favorite part in the worst way possible.

Also apparently something from the next patch leaked, though I'm not sure if it's another scenario of the third ending where it's just a video to throw people off like that fake third ending video where Alex defeats proto alex with the help of the player by jumping timelines or some shit.

Edit: Oh yeah, here's an archive of the fake 3rd ending, since it got taken down.
It was uploaded by a hidden dev account with only two other hotline miami videos with strange descriptions.

It's basically a "fuck you" ending, as it's basically a fake good ending where everything goes well for Alex and nobody dies, but of course you can't get this no matter what you do, because it's not in the game.

There's also some guy on a reupload I found who's strangely defensive over it not being real.

My guess? As aforementioned, a video to throw people off the scent of the real nonexistent third ending, or a video uploaded by a rogue dev that they're trying to damage control.

The actual cutscenes rather than just staring at ecto-cooler green sewage zone the entire time is much better. There's actual effort put into it and it personally made Rory look like less of a bumbling retard to me. It's just that the second the llama alpaca busts in what little seriousness the scene had goes sideways for me still.

…how the fuck did it manage to be MORE pretentious?

The introduction of new characters, what looks like a new location, and a new design for Michael tells me that this wouldn't really fit in YIIK's story.

In other words, if this is real, it might be an epilogue of some sort, or a retelling, which could be what YIIK needs, a clean slate. (Though it'll most likely be some small bullshit and the leak is just a trailer leak.)
