The weird thing was the way he went about it. He has since deleted his tweets obviously, and I didn't archive them, so my word's all I got, but from what I recall he tweeted about how he donated to some bailout fund for BLM looters and when some people asked him if posting politics is a good idea he said something akin to "whoops, just donated again, thanks for your concern" and added a screenshot of another donation. Wish I could find a screenshot or archive of it, it was a weird overreaction to behold from an otherwise chill guy.

Dude, he's never been chill. He constantly deletes his tweets, that is the opposite of chill, that is a man who is paranoid.

That said, I hope he's happy his money was used to free murderers and rapists.
 
Remember that a good amount of the criticism Ding Dong and Julian had for the LGBT community came from Julian, he definitely gave no shits about them and it was amazing when Chris or Ding Dong joked about ruining the LGBT's image only for Julian to go, "They do that themselves just fine" only for all three to burst out laughing

Ding Dong was usually the one that called out Chris/Julian on doing gay jokes, but he always laughed at them anyways even if Chris calls Julian a fag, so him taking this stance publicly after all this time is just weird

Ehhh, joking with close friends/partners vs people who think that they’re that close to you making jokes. I can understand the difference in feeling.
 
For what it's worth, I found an archive from around the same day DingDong tweeted about his BLM donations. Someone in the comments makes a reference to a Google Docs spreadsheet of "charities" that DD tweeted about.

I don't know if this is too offtopic for a thread about OneyPlays, If so, feel free to get it deleted/moved to some other thread. I just wanted to post what little proof I could find that my last post wasn't me talking out my ass.
 
who fucking cares about twitter and what people post on that retarded website

the vast majority of artists and entertainers and generally people at large are going to have at least one element among them that is dubious or questionable or controversial to some segment of the population. If this revelation has you clutching your pearls and unable to enjoy their content, there's a wealth of BASED quarterpounders out there shitting out veritable libraries of congress worth of content to peruse. I like Oney and the gang less because they remind me of me, and more because they are funny people who make funny noises and don't shove hamfisted monologues about how smart they are into their content.
 
Honestly, even if there are things I disagree with dingdong on, I still have respect for him. Plus the game him and Julian are making looks really nice from what I've seen so far.

I really enjoy parts of his streams where he sees someone bringing up old drama and has to reply to it every time.

I've come to realize that his old streams are no different than his recent ones. It is still hard to sit through and, after all of this time, he still engages with the vocal minority. For someone who has proclaimed they've been on the internet for quite a while, he seems to really take the bait easily and seems.. fragile. I would like him and Julian to succeed because it does seem to me these games have potential. But man, for him to go on a tangent on Twitter and then seemingly delete those tweets in the same hour is so hard to witness and makes me roll my eyes harder and harder each time. Not saying he's probably isn't working on stuff, it's just becoming harder to support him.

Never use Twitter, worst mistake of my life!

Is he still doing that? I guess it's not that surprising, back when he interacted with this thread that one time, someone brought it up and he was in total denial about it. It becomes really hard to take him seriously on certain topics because he just keep repeating the same mistakes.
 
I hope DD gets off twitter or reduces his time on it. He has a huge amount of talent and works well with others, but I can tell he's feeling the pressure. I dont want him to go down the spoony rabbit hole.

Regardless of his politics, he doesn't strike me as a malicious person, merely uninformed at worst.
 
DD seems like one of those people addicted to negative feedback, probably why he reads this thread and why he'll never quit a bottomless resource of misery like Twitter.
But he really should at least try to turn it off or avoid arguing about anything remotely serious with a bunch of strangers, it's worthless at best and bad for your mental health in general. Even the most tism ridden corners of KF have infinitely more healthy interaction than the average Twitter reply thread.
