Aw man, I havent checked this thread in a while, and Chris and Veronica broke up? That's really sad. LS Mark is at least not insufferable, I guess.

I agree with the guy who posted a few pages back. I miss the old DD and J era style of humor. It's just too watered down and wacky for me nowadays to sit through their newer LPs, and I have never liked Zach or Lyle. I think the magic is lost for me, especially with the amount of videos they churn out lately. The last thing I found kind of funny from the channel isn't even a LP, it's Chris drawing with Harry Patridge. YouTube monetization policy is one of the shittiest things to happen to the site.

Them making Jaxxie jokes is the only solid replacement for Norm making holocaust jokes about Adam Egat. "Drop the fucking knife Jaxxie" still makes me crack up.
 
I feel like lately, they're in a loop of Chris fucking around for fifteen minutes and getting bored, Tomar or Lyle trying to salvage the episode, and then trotting out another graphically impressive yet ultimately uninteresting game to shuffle along to. I think the reason people have a certain nostalgia for the DD&J days were that they were more likely to stick with games and play their way through more obscure and interesting games.

It doesn't seem like Deathloop really strikes Chris's fancy, so it'll probably get dropped - doesn't help that the dialogue is trying painfully hard. But grab an old, forgotten gem like Timesplitters 3 and stick to it, and you'd have a fun little series.

Chris tends to really hates story, so you need something either over the top or simple enough with good gameplay. Like when Lyle got him to play Revengence.
