Remember, this is the guy who’s mom is a leg, who’s dramatic scene of dealing with the loss of his younger sister is interrupted by “Lol gold alpaca saying LEMONADE!” and when he actually opens up about his depression and feeling like he has nothing to love for, it can end with a “Alex tries to kiss Rory lol” scene.

Kinda makes it hard to suddenly take seriously. Especially when he’s never mentioned again after that scene.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't there an alternate route/ending where it's actually nice and quiet since it's Alex by himself, but then you happen to find Rory's grave and he tells you "it's okay Alex, it wasn't your fault" essentially making the whole thing moot anyways

It might have been that "cut" ending but I vaguely remember seeing it pop up in reviews

Yes, it’s a weird almost “meta” ending where you find Sami behind a tree when the art style goes hyper simple.

Yeah, same. It sucks, I still like everybody, just not as into it for some reason. Check out Dying Light, it had me laughing from the start. Tornado and Ben are a good combination.

It's too bad they didn't see that ending. Then again, if that happened they couldn't have tried to kiss him later.

Given how they’ve talked and made jokes, I’m pretty sure they’ve seen the scenes on YouTube or something.

It was pretty lame, there's was like what? 2 episodes of Outlast which had potential but in truly Oneyplays fashion they probably got stuck/too scare to continue, there was Golden Light a roguelike/horror game that didn't went anywhere because as we know those type of games ask for the player to put attention to their actions which is not exactly why we watch the channel. Resident Evil Gaiden which actually was one of the better ones in my opinion and they even made the game look fun, that mother game with Hillary Clinton that was pretty bad, Tormented Souls yet another game where they probably got stuck and Harvester a crazy point n' click game with potential but they also probably got bored.
The best one was without a doubt Little Nightmares 2, now I do think they got bored of it too because they showed 0 interest in the story at difference of the first one, but I don't give a fuck because the commentary was pure gold: from a reverse Home Alone where the kid gets deep fried to Hillary Clinton eating rotten eggs, buck breaking, Chris calling the VP Cameltoe Harris and more.

Also, holy shit is Biomutant everything that's wrong with modern games: too many mechanics cram in so little time, that shitty rpg upgrade system, not knowing what it wants to be, cutscene after cutscene always taking away the players controls, tutorials that last forever, that quirky attempt at humor and a run of the mill storyline that wants so bad to have deep lore so they come up with the stupiest terms and names for everything, seriously, a grown man should never said wonky mump in the way Tomar did ever.

To be fair, if I was a tiny mutated adorable rat thing I'd come up with cutesy names for horrible things too. That's their entire society, I mean how many times have humans spoke to them in cutesy tone or dialogue? "Oh look at schmoopsie being a fluffywuffle~" That shit carried through evolution, we did it enough times that that's how their entire language developed.

I wouldn't say Chris hates story, I'd say he hates it when he feels like a game wastes his time OR doesn't let him play the game. Biomutant is such a severe case of this that even Tomar is getting upset enough to raise his voice over, which I sure as hell can't remember ever happening before.
 
Chris is fine with story if that's the name of the game, but his autism goes off when it's an actiony game and suddenly everything stops to tell you about the bumbly wumbly lore
Unless it's something he can make fun of like RE4/8 and Kingdom Hearts, then all logic is thrown out

I can see Chris secretly loving KH's lore. He likes to pretend he's above the autism, but he's more often than not protesting a wee bit too much to not be enjoying it.

You know, it's weird. With Kingdom Hearts, Julian was playing, DingDong knew everything about it and Chris was along for the ride. It was almost like Chris was watching a DD&J let's play in real time. Maybe that's why the old stuff hits different.

Feels fuckin autistic to notice patterns like this, but I like the series that have two players and an outsider. It's cool to see a game played with a certain amount of skill, and it's even better when someone also gets to watch and experience it second hand. I guess, when you have someone good at the game, someone who likes the game, and a wild card to throw in funny and/or legitimate questions and crazy reactions, you get the perfect let's play!

could this be the fabled "stink" "meat" and "loooong" come to life????
 
Watching them play Biomutant made me better understand why so many older people were incredibly confused by a bunch've game terms and pokemon. Every 5ish minutes the game death clutches the brake to just vomit Dr Seussisms at you. "You've got to save the potato people who tend the tree of life, first decide to go to the Swoogity-Woogities or Yabbo-Dabbies so you can prepare to battle the Shoobity Woobity Doobitybeast that is infecting the tree with Dengodagriatius!"

Then it asks if you want to punch a random villager as a 'moral' choice. It's like watching someone trying to make a game after having been told of it second-hand by another person.
