Oney and co? Not really, I think Lyle made a few good comments on Biomutant's episode but its never been the focus of their channel. I'm not sure if anyone's made a super in depth cover of Biomutant .. I'm not even sure it's worth the time.

I'd disagree tbh. Although they probably don't do game analysis in particular as much as I remember, I mean, they used to analyze stuff like movies and games a lot. A few of my favorite moments was when they began to talk about Halloween and Grindhouse in the BoneyPlays of old. I just miss whatever weird shit DD and J talked about because they were a bit more... underground, I guess. They don't do it that much with the new videos either.

I did enjoy DD and J's views on media, they very clearly put a lot of thought into it due to them creating a game as well. Though I'll be frank I don't agree on Biomutant being worth the time. If some long form analyst video maker like Joseph Anderson put out a video on Biomutant I'm not sure they could really get into it without making it a more generalist video.

If DD and J made a channel that was more focused on the way they talked about games I'd absolutely watch it, some of DD's streams have that kinda feeling.

I thought he was streaming resident evil at first, and then showed his hand so, no, not a game

Thought it was pretty neat till i noticed he was barefoot, covered in wounds and kept grunting and screaming. Like, jesus.

I'll probably archive the video because I use these for environmental drawings and loved it for that, but christ what happened? I thought he was getting better

I have very limited interest in video game development but I always enjoyed when he would bring up these obscure tidbits about what devs used to do to get around technical limitations in the era of the PS1 and gave context to weird glitches. I'd watch the shit out of that if he ever decides to do it in a format a bit more focused than livestreams.
