Zach must have been hard up for cash in 2014, doesn't even look like his style. Either that or he wanted to cuck ArmoredSkeptic.

I feel like the reason he banned the words "smiling friends" from the chat was because of him not really having an opinion of it and/or getting tired of being asked. I don't sense any genuine (figurative) butthurt from him.

It's just a joke he makes whenever any cartoon character has a stonetoss face. He did the same thing with some cartoon network show.

Also, I really enjoyed smiling friends and hope it gets a second season. Zach mentioned in a podcast about the production of the show that the two exerted creative control over basically every moment in the show (which is a lot more oversight than the vast majority of show creators employ) and it really shows with the attention to detail in terms of things like the dialogue and background gags. For example, mip's bomb looking like a legit homemade bomb that someone like the Unabomber would have made is an underrated part of that bit.

It was more than just like, the bomb was literally a copy of the Unabomber's bomb design, down to the the 4 9-volt batteries at the bottom right and the pipe with the half-opening in the middle. Zach is a funny motherfucker for making it exactly match:

Chris is a legit great voice actor. Only people better in their group (and ex members) are Tomar and Stamper. I'm sure if he wasn't doing his own stuff he'd be a more prominent voice actor. I'm convinced he's only on it cause his friends work on it (as does he on music and 3D animation).

It's a shame Stamper is such a fuck up. I could definitely have seen him getting a recurring character on the show.

I love the way the babies just randomly turn directions with no momentum. Don't know why it cracks me up so much but the background gags with character moving at retarded speeds are some of the best jokes in the show.
 
Dude, I really hope people learn to, one day, let Smiling Friends live as a singular entity rather than constantly bringing up Oneyplays alongside it
