Did you forget the part where angry Game Grumps fans doxed him and told his parents he was gay (before he came out to them). All because he thought the video game they were making was pandering.

You guys I switched my avatar to Proto Alex after New Year because I thought a Yiik finale was incoming and I didn't want to change it back when it could become relevant any time but it's been over two months with this patch-beard coomer and I just want the boys to pull the plug on him finally.

Didn't Ding Dong and/or Julian straight up say they didn't actually finish it while it was being uploaded?

I don't remember either of them saying that. Their last episode (on Oct 1) ended in the middle of fighting the final boss, so I don't see any reason for them to not have finished. I assumed they were doing something special for the finale, which is why they had Kirbopher over, but I don't know what the hold up is.

This was where I got it from, which was way back in June. I just assumed that if Ding Dong said they didn't finish it he meant it so I wasn't holding out for a finale and it felt like such a Chris thing to do to get pissed off at the finale and stop.
 
They finished it. There’s literally no gameplay left for the ending. The final boss kills you no matter what, then you get transported to Two Brothers where the hero of that game talks at you for a bit and blames people for his game not being popular(because it was a broken piece of shit with stolen assists), then you transport back right before the boss fight, pull two levers, and the end.

Chris specifically thanked Kirb for helping him with “something special for the YIIK finale” so it’s just a matter of waiting to see when Chris decides to post it. We’re only just getting back to a regular posting schedule.
 
I hope Chris brings Adam back for some more episodes. With Smiling Friends being renewed Zach is probably going to continue to be pretty sporadic as a guest and while I do like Tomar and Lyle, the Chris/Tomar/Lyle dynamic is the weakest of the combinations for the more wacky antics I like about OneyPlays. Adam really brings a different kind of chaos that could make up for Zach if he's too busy working on the show.
 
My autistic brain just put two and two together.
You know the guy Zach talks about here that got fined for downloading porn, I think just based on the little impression Zach does of him, at like 0:45 in, that it might have been Adam lol

Wouldn't this imply that they didn't actually finish it and the finale was recorded later?

It seems like they wouldn't hold one video back before the hiatus if they had already recorded it nearly a year ago.

Videos game stuff is filmed. Chris is doing something extra now that he had access to the voice of Alex YIIK. Which is something that probably took longer.

Dude, no one’s actually shown any proof Dong Ding said so. In fact, people have also said Ding Dong said they finished it. So maybe show proof first instead of being condescending.

YIIK finale won't be a true finale and we'll have to watch background gags in smiling friends to piece together our fiercely denied closure.
