'member all the Deer hunting /Wild game hunting games of the late 90's - early 2000? I think there was a parody thrown in there too were you are a deer with a gun hunting hunters. Ah, sweet times.

That and a lot of people have fonder memories with KH1 (and 2 to an extent) than they do with KH3.

KH1 was charming and something new from the norm. KH2 and CoM (which rarely anyone played) was when they started with the retarded shit, but it wasn't overblown like how it was starting with BBS. KH3 was SUPPOSED to be the game that answers all the questions but SOMEHOW opened up more for the new game that's coming out. The DLC and Rhythm game didn't help any either. Needless to say it pissed off a lot of fans (or whatever fans they had left).

KH3's biggest problem is that is forsakes doing anything new or interesting mechanically to be a rather unsatisfying lore wankfest. As Celebrate Nite said above, KH1 was a fresh new thing and didn't take itself too seriously, it has fun with its ideas and left a few crumbs to hint at something more. KH2 is still praised to this day for being arguably the best game mechanically and challenge-wise (with only BBS maybe competing) despite introducing the majority of extremely cringe awful directions for the story. 3 doesn't have the gameplay depth of 2 and BBS nor the charm and simplicity of 1. It's really only there for the super fans who need to cope with dedicating so much time to such a disappointing series

That's kinda weird but gives us some insight into their breakup, mostly that it was most likely mainly oney who wanted out. It's very very weird tbh. Maybe she just really really REALLY likes that Irish accent.

I disagree, mechanically it worse than kh2, but it is still pretty good imo, the problen is that the way the main game is designed you dont even have to learn how to play optimally, even in critical.
The dlc fixed that imo, overworld encounters are harder and require more strategy and the new bosses are fantastic

Even better that at some point Cory and Dave asked him to do KH3 before DD&J's return and that's where Chris started to talk about it being too boring, so we could have potentially had a Cory/Dave KH3 playthrough but it was just way too boring

I still want a KH playthough but I understand its issues. They need to turn off the theme park ride moves and keyblade transformations to make it less shit. Those moves really got old fast.


Personally I feel like it picks up as it goes along but it really has this Tech demo feel to it. Like it was less a labor of love and more "I need to get this fucking thing done so I can do what I acuallly want" kind of thing. Espeically if you read the notice Nomura put in the art book for it.

I dont hate it and I thought the DLC was great but it wasn't the game we waited so long for. The sequel hooks for 4 and remind actually did excite me though, I think he's going to take in a ballsy last action hero direction.

That was also a good one. FYI: Cory didn't fuck up the save. If you're finishing a ShtH run, you'll start from the beginning, but the progress carries over.
t. actually played the game until the true ending, you will have to get every normal ending to access that.

Man, I feel bad for Chris. Everyone around him has a wife or a partner and he just has a jerk-ass ex who'll probably try to cancel him some day. He's just a simple funny irishman, can't he catch a break?
EDIT: ALSO. On top of all that he has multiple people he used to be good friends with going psychotic and burning bridges with him (Stamper, Egoraptor, Shadman, and possible Sonny too).

Sometime in the last few weeks, I forget exactly when, I just happened to be looking at DingDong's YouTube channel because I wanted to watch his G4 audition video again because of it falling apart and it so happened he was streaming which I didn't know he did. In the stream he said it was the first time he did a YouTube stream because Twitch loosened their restrictions on streaming on competing sites, so it was serendipitous I stumbled on it.

Anyway, I listened to it in the background for about 2 hours but it was getting late and I had to head to bed, thinking I would listen to a vod of it at some later date. I woke up in the morning and he was still streaming and just finishing up... he was going for like 11 hours in the dead of night, no wonder their game isn't getting finished. Regardless, I was annoyed to see there was no vod. I've never used Twitch because I'm not a tranny but I even checked there since in that stream he said they do it there weekly but I couldn't find any vods not from two years ago.

It could be just because I don't understand Twitch, but is there like an archive of his videos somewhere? I generally like listening to him because he is really passionate and knowledgeable about gaming history and development, but I don't wanna be constrained to watching livestreams, especially if they are mostly happening at fucking 4 am. Seems like a waste if he just confined them to having to watch live if he's going for 10 hours and almost nobody can reasonable watch it anything less than 4 or 5 sittings.
 
Sadly no idea on an archive of Dingdong's streams but whenever I've caught him he's either whining or playing Splatoon (and whining furiously). It was a surprise to me to realize that he was more vitriolic off Oneyplays than on it. He usually sticks to grousing about the same topics too like how crummy the state of game development is or someone being immoral. Holy shit hearing him go on about Blizzard was impressive - you'd think they snatched his favorite tuba.
 
It's annoying, but I get not wanting your every word saved forever. People put him under the microscope with the whole game grumps bullshit. I think that scared him off archiving.

It is crazy that he streams for most of the day. I caught his first YouTube stream by chance and he actually broke it. Like, YouTube glitches out if you go over 12 continuous hours. He said in that stream that he went 20 hours regularly on twitch.
