Real or not, Julian and Ding Dong come off as the type of guys who were willing to turn a blind eye to the bad shit their clique was doing until something inconvenienced them.
I kind of think DD values when to hide your powerlevel, so I think Shad and his attitude would have gotten on his nerves no matter what. Julian seems to be his perfect fit because like we've said before, he seems the total opposite and doesn't care. He'll draw gay hyper muscle vore cumflation furries, stick his actual name on it or shove it in his demo reel and won't be an obnoxious faggot about it. Whereas Shad was all about "oooh, I have to draw the most taboo and shocking shit possible and be really edgy and an attention whore all the time to keep hold of my masses of 12 year old fans".

It's difficult to say because he doesn't go into details about when or which NG clique, just that Shad isn't the only bad guy. The clique around Shad was different compared to the clique Cory used to hang out with back before Sleepycabin (when they'd do nothing but troll and shit on people for fun.)
There's also a difference between being a cumbrain like Cory who seems to keep it all fictional and a scumbag like Shad who would purposefully send his drawings to the people he drew or would be happy if his fans did that. Some autistic rambling re Sleepycast members forthcoming -
Personally, I think Cory's guilty of jerking off to lots of awful shit (which he admits himself) and has probably went into the extreme of "ok now draw her giving birth" kind of way and all sorts of lolicon, shotacon, furrycon, whatever sort of hentai and art but not towards IRL stuff.
Stamper's admitted to watching extreme fetish stuff too (he definitely mentioned amputee porn more than once non-jokingly) and was open about doing fucked up stuff with chicks and dudes alike IRL. Whether or not the ending of Fat Refund was based on his actual thoughts, I don't think we'll ever know. He certainly looks the part nowadays.
Niall is similar considering the multiple Tinder stories and how desperate for sex he was at times. He seems more like a guy who was just trying to fit in the guys and never really had his own voice (outside of being the punching bag whenever he was in a SleepyCast ep.) I recall him being friendly with Shad but he's so forgettable that I don't even know if he sided closer with Mick defending Shad or with Chris who ditched him.
Jeff comes across as guilty in the stereotypical "i'm ashamed that I do it so I lash out at others" kind of way. He seems so pathetic and harmless though, all I could see him being into is something funny extreme like femdom, cuckolding or raceplay (so he can say nigger and get off to it.)
Mick defended Shad way longer than anyone else and was also open like Stamper about some fantasies he's had so I would say he's probably most likely to be in that list of 5, if only because it's so hypocritical for him to be all goody-two-shoes mr positivity while defending someone like Shad that it would annoy DD enough to include him in that list.
Chris thinks anal is gross and DD still likes him, so I don't think he's on the list. Similarly, Zach seems extremely plain despite memes and jokes.
