Honestly, I really don't have much to say on this other than that I'm looking forward to what DD&J have in store for us, however long it takes.

For what it's worth, I've been listening to sleepycast and Jeff has multiple times called out the SJW/tumblr crowd as being retarded and contemptible. I've only made it to ep 20 (early 2015). No idea his stance today though I got into it long after the show ended.

Tomar is very meh. If you listen to a lot of funny clips, you'll notice Tomar is rarely the one to start them and he will respond to the joke/bit by asking , "is that..." and then describing the bit, instead of going along with it. He also plays the straight man too often. There was one video though he wasn't doing this and he was very funny, can't remember which one.

He did, he was very vocal about it, which is why it was surprising that he took a hard left turn later.

He hated that shit when it was confined to Tumblr, but adopted it when it spread to Twitter.

So I blame Twitter.

Indie dev publishers aren't very tight knit as people think they are, like sure people know each other from the different pubs but nothing too serious. The only way you can get shoved out of any potential indie pub deals is if you're like, a pedo or some shit.
Fuck, remember how Yandere Dev got a pub deal with TinyBuild, if he can get that, there's no reason DD can't get some kinda pub deal. My guess is that he can't pitch / talk to people correctly. I think he just likes uses it as an excuse.
My other theory is that I don't think DD wants a pub deal cause then he actually has to finish a project and with how much he criticizes games, etc like on OneyPlays, I feel he's worried people will shit on his game the way he complains about games, but that's just an exceptional theory.
 
@Right Butt Cheek DD did say in a stream "if you're gonna tear it apart, then tear it apart," referring to his game and how he's open to criticism as long as it isn't mindless hating like LeafyisHere (<-- his words, not mine).
 
If DD needed actual help publishing a game he already has a bunch of connections who could help him. DD could no doubt talk to Cory, Mick, Sheena, or anyone else in their circle who worked on any of The Behemoths games. If I remember right Nightmare Cops was/is involved in the Xbox indie publishing program so he even has access to more formal methods of getting Bippy published.

I think DD is either self sabotaging or thinks he needs a Ionstorm level blank check to make it how he wants.

Eh...not sure, honestly. I've usually found him pretty mature/respectable when it comes to this, but these recent meltdowns give me second thoughts. Either he's gotten less stable as time went by, or he's just getting worse at hiding it.
 
Man, he keeps saying "the internet got it wrong" "such and such website has it completely backwards". Like, I dare anyone to try and count how many times he said that during the stream.

So I guess my thing is, why not set the record straight? Like, it bothers him enough to rant about it for literal hours on end. The people who fucked him over don't give a shit. They've all ready ruined him professionally and financially, probably mentally at this point from all the stress the situation has caused him. What does he have to lose? If half the shit he said is true, these fuckers don't deserve his silence.

From shit that's been posted here and in the Arin thread, the YouTube let's play channels are in the middle of a cold war. Because real life is not autistic enough, that's a fucking thing, apparently. Ding Dong is associated with three let's plays, right? Well, game grumps is full of shady retards and assholes, so who gives a fuck about hurting them? Supermega is at least half decent thanks to Ryan, but the channel is dying so any attention will help them, short term at least. Oneyplays might be in trouble if anyone on the crew is doing horrible shit. If that's the case, someone should blow the lid off, and if it's not, fans all ready side with them. Short of pedo shit, that channel's gonna be fine.

It's like the equivalent of a teen girl or girl in general going "SO AND SO SAID/DID THIS BAD THING BUT SIGH I DON'T KNOW I SHOULD TELL YOU" kind of behavior. If he has been saying it for the longest, I think it's unfortunate that we won't hear it because he doesn't save his VODs. I love this man, but at the same time I think he should just go out and say what was done. The moment he lets everything out, that burden will be lifted.

The thing about this whole DD situation which I find most frustrating is, I turned on that stream because I like Dingdong and Julian. If DD had decided to just clearly walk through everything that had happened, everything that was still effecting them and all the people who really fucked them or got fucked, I probably would have taken him at his word.
If everyone has it backwards then I'd really like to hear what it is exactly that is backwards and how it really went down

Instead he gets set off by an LA bugman, has a definitely very normal 15 hour long stream where he vaguely complains about 5 year old drama for the majority of it, lashes out at random online communities for speculating about him as well as the drama without setting the record straight, generally just comes off as manic depressive as well as a little unhinged and tops it all off by doing a little politics and current events sperging

You can't say a bunch of people are abusing children and harming you as well as other people and then tell everyone they just shouldn't care.
You can't keep dredging up old drama act like everyone else is weird for wanting more info.
And you can't act like you are above everything while being the sole person who's keeping this shit going.

I assume he doesn't actually name people because it would create real trouble for them. I'm sure keeping it generic and going "everyone was in the wrong" (not to mention going "guys Arin helped us with shit, it's not him you should be mad at") keeps any sort of lawyer GG has away.

I don't know if I agree with this sentiment (which has almost become the norm because of all these videos and clips now) that he was blacklisted because of his comments on Dream Daddy. Like, he's been shitting on things for years. I'm sure if a publisher or gaming site or whatever looking at Bippy were to look at DD's past i.e. TBG or any older streams he's done, they'd go "wow this guy's really bitter and doesn't seem like an ass kisser/team player at all, fuck him." I'm sure even indie publishing darlings like Devolver value being a brown noser - not in the faggot way, of course.

I think he realized during the stream how much of a mistake it was but couldn't stop flapping his lips because he saw some extremely flimsy bait and fell for it, over and over again. Now the only thing to do it is ride this newfound attention, pour on all this "positivity and creativity ONLY for 2023 :)" and hope enough pledge to their patreon so they can finally finish a 6.5/10 game and get a bunch of day 1 sales after it's featured on a Vinesauce variety stream before Julian dies of sepsis.
