Watched this for the first time earlier:

Love watching them play bizarre indie games. Favorite part was Zach getting legit scared not long after he said he'd be angry if the game managed to actually scare him.

Glad to see they didn't abandon this game. There's plenty of games they've played and then dropped that I wish they had stuck with longer.

On that note, I'm hoping they continue their playthrough of Night at the Gates of Hell later this year for Boneyplays.

Yes, I was aware of that. Believe me or not, but I came to the conclusion he'd been molested before he revealed it on Sleepycabin. Stamper has had a very difficult life and I feel terrible for him.
I still think he's a pedo, but I think he's haunted by those thoughts.

For some reason I can't find the screenshot I have of this. His initial tweet expressed discomfort, but his follow-up was something like "You've got a nice dick for a 15 year old though. YEAH I SAID IT."

I listened to the whole video and Julian talks a lot but says fucking nothing. I have no idea what he is on about. People are talking shit about DD and Julian and stalking them and the catalyst for all that is the Dream Daddy drama from years ago? DD is killing his online personalty and all accounts related to that?

It's all so vague, he never talks specifics. It was the same with the last DD stream. A lot of moaning but never to the point, always tip toeing around.

Yeah. I feel like if you want to address something but choose to still be vague and tiptoe around it, then there's no reason to even address or make a stream about it.

You don't have to reannounce that you guys didn't want Wan Wan Games to be affiliated with anything or anyone famous, you didn't have to readdress that you guys are working on cleansing Ding Dong's accounts; we've known this since you guys have been talking about it nonstop.

I also feel like the argument they make about "I don't want my support, game or company to be associated people who only know us because of something famous" is kinda stupid, but I also understand why they'd feel that way.

As an example, NSP gets praised and loved mostly because of the GG fans and how Dan uses GG to constantly shill his god awful band and music through it. While I do understand that the feeling of all thos support is sorta "disingenuous" because it's just a bunch of fans from another place doing thos and sorta brown nosing you, being part of something big isn't entirely bad. I think Lyle said it best when he said "i use streaming to platform my passions" or something along those lines. You need some form of exposure nd connections. There is nothing wrong with having OP fans be a large percentage of your supporters, because if they weren't there, I guarantee you they wouldn't be far with this game and have a very low amount of earnings from it.

Tl;dr there is nothing wrong with using YouTube as a platform to push what your real passions and career are; as long as it's fucking good.

It's like you my best and beloved pair'o'fags don't get it: giving parts of the story in an unclear, vague, and piecemeal manner is NEVER gonna help you at all. I get you're frustrated and tired of this because it's been years of your lives, while we've only heard about it recently

But you really needed to shut up about it forever from the moment shit went down, and you didn't. You tried to shut up after, but things heard will remain heard, even those said in private; if that cunt Bowblax or whatever his name is "heard some things from an insider" (who let's not fuck around, it's Veronica, we know it 99% sure), then people you talked to are talking behind your back. And then when you blow up on streams, that's there forever! And don't complain about "reposting parts while cutting hours of context" and then say "it'd be ok if they uploaded the whole thing" WHILE YOU'RE DELETING IT! PUT IT BACK UP, THE WHOLE THING! There's no walking it back.

The absolute best thing you can do now is, calmly, methodically, and with the support of people who can back up your claims, lay down the facts from start to finish. Who did what and when.
That's the only way this salad of misinformation and half truths and vague statements can be untangled.

You don't want more drama but talking half an hour about how tiresome and disruptive to your work it is and then dropping "yeah and the Best Gamers people have a restraining order against us do we have to move??" in the middle isn't gonna help. That's... I don't know how to say it other than "the begging for sympathy equivalent of a humblebrag".

Believe me I love you two and I'm glad you can be faggot-words together so I don't want to feed the stereotypes but this is old woman behavior. Motherly guilt trip-like, even. I don't want you to worry about me, you're so busy with your life, I may die at any moment now but you have important things to do so don't mind me...

I swear to god, it's not to feed the drama or to use your bad experiences as a weapon against Arin or whomever: coming out clean with the full story is the only way you can stop people misinterpreting you and putting words in your mouth.
What's he gonna do, ruin your career more?

It really feels like DD and J don't understand that speculation on a topic where information is missing or unclear is perfectly natural.
Generally it comes from a place of interest or from people who like these two and is not meant to go "on the offensive" against other people like the GG crowd, or that's how it seems to me based on the reception I see here.
They've said too much to act like nothing has happened and that they haven't helped keep this drama going at least a little bit, but they also haven't said enough to definitively lay this section of their lives to rest for good.

This is probably the best way to describe the whole situation. I almost feel like I have less of an understanding of what their position actually is now than I did before DD's ranting half day long streams.
I am not calling Dingdong or Julian a liar but I also don't really get the idea that they have a lot of hate watchers. Their stream chats usually seem pretty banal and supportive and even a fair amount of threads on /v/ started about them have a good chunk of people who seem to like them.
I just don't get it, either ignore it and move on or tell your entire story. I'm 100% sure most people would take you at your word. Yes it'd likely stir up drama grifters and other opportunists for a while but once it's all said and done it can only fade into the background .
I can only see this being bad if Dingdong or Julian were trying to hide something.

I hope whatever choice DD and J make they stick to it so this can all be put to rest.

Someone in this thread said it best; they're trying to have their cake and eat it too. I got really mad when Ding Dong, who a few days prior was ranting about his frustration and hurt about the situation, backpedalled in his "last stream" going "well actually things got better and we all kinda rekindled and it wasn't actually that bad.

Ding Dong is still following the situation btw. He liked some tweets of people shitting on bowblax speaking about how him defending veronica and mark's situation being something that we should have respect privately does not make him a hypocrite when he spoke about DD's thing. So I doubt we'll see the last of DD. He'll still go looking for negativity and comments about him and we'll see more streams in a few months
 
nice to hear julian's voice but man these guys just can't stop VagueStreaming about this ancient bullshit. they seem so unhealthily fixated... repeatedly spending hours tiptoeing unhappily around it in public even though doing so seems to make whatever's bothering them worse EVERY TIME.

personally i dont even want "answers" because i'm way past caring. i just want the two of them to get on with their lives and do, produce &/or talk about something besides this same stale, years-old tuber drama. break the spell! be free!
 
I imagine their fans keep pestering them about it. They're gonna need to learn to ignore their fans. Giving answers to 'put speculation to bed' just generates more buzz. Yapping sideways without saying anything stirs the pot and keeps it in motion. Step away, don't respond, don't say anything, and go blank for a month. Come back from hiatus, people ask about the drama, and you just ignore it - boom, dead in the water.

Not gonna happen, though. There are healthier ways to take a break from work and far healthier ways to socialize, but who indeed can resist dipping their big kingdom-hearts toes into the neverending gossip shitstorms? Oh, right, most people with priorities. Where blippioni???
 
I'm hoping after this update video DD&J just stop talking about this drama. That's honestly the best way they could get people thinking of them more as "the boys behind Wan Wan Games" instead of "those guys from Oneyplays who got fucked over by Game Grumps". Honestly, that drama is just so god damn old and boring now that I don't see how anyone can still be invested in it or even be just now hearing about it. Whereas, if they just talked about Tough Bippy/WanWanGames/some future ambitions as game devs all the time, they'd get what they want and be recognised more as game devs.

Though for real, I have wanted Zach as a fourth on the botw panel, just to see how it would work out. I somewhat get the feeling he wouldn't mesh with the hack frauds, but he's also sharper in adjusting his energy to fit the room than the rest of the gang is so he might pull it out.
