This is the right call for ding dong to make. The internet isn't real and at the end of the day the less time you waste obsessing over it the better.
 
I'm not saying that Ding Dong is seen as a saint, but it's not a surprise that Bowblax is a straight-up drama whore.
 
Oh wait I guess he isn't quitting the internet? He just retweeted something and he probably had to look for it too since its from 2021, and I know this is a new retweet since he had no retweets at all yesterday. I guess he's just using his account only to promote things that he likes.

This is the sort of thing I expect unfortunately.
If DD went nuclear and fully deleted his accounts, he'd have little to no temptation to speak out or chime in and could potentially escape the drama vortex.
His current approach feels like a half measure. He's wiped his twitter a few times in the past and I think has said he'd only use it to share projects he likes. But as we can see it never stays like that.
As long as there is activity on his accounts of any type, I am skeptical of his ability to keep his online presence as limited as he claims he wants it to be.
 
Ding Dong deleted all of his posts on social media back in 2019 as well, so this is his second attempt at this. He was only gone for about 3 months last time, so we'll see how long this attempt lasts. Hopefully he's learned something from then, so he doesn't come back and repeat this cycle.
