It is sad that DD & J are leaving the internet. Regardless of those streams they did, they were my favourite hosts on Oneyplays. DD & J had a great mix of comedy and chill discussion, the best moments combining both of those together. I like Zach, I think he's hilarious, but I can't really get through a let's play with him in it. He's just way too 'chaotic' for my liking, especially when you combine him with Chris. I know that's an unpopular opinion but I stand by it.
But anyways, after this YIIK finale comes out it's probably the last time we ever see them on Oneyplays. It's a shame but I guess I can't complain, I have years worth of their let's plays to rewatch. Hopefully they don't pull some shit and start asking Chris to remove episodes.

Beat me to it. I was doing a write up of what seemed to be the weirdest/most interesting stuff from the last 50 minutes of the stream.
Here's some stuff I noticed which I'd like to add
-During all of this Julian's chat was extremely supportive, including a few people telling him he's valid.
-Julian says they still can't cover all of their medical expenses.
-Currently they are making just under $7k a month on Patreon alone.
-Julian brings up OneyPlays as an example to show how he became more extrovertive from when they started to when they left. He doensdoesn't say "OneyPlays" and instead refers to it as "those old videos we used to do" and says "you could go back and see how I sort of became more energetic as we went on, but I wouldn't recommend that you do and in fact I'd prefer that you ever forgot we did those videos".
I think a ton of the stuff he said during this was extremely weird, a lot of it feels like stuff he only ever heard about and never saw. Like tthe people who tell people who have no idea who DD is that he stole money, or the group of people who were saying DD is the new Chris-chan for being gay and associating with people who don't typically like gay stuff.
For the most part there was nothing new or revelatory shared and most of it was just kind of strange.

Yeah I really don't know what he's on about. As I said above Julian's chat during this entire 45 minute long discussion was very supportive and it was not in sub only mode. Their patreon is bringing in just under $7k a month split between about 480 patrons. Clearly they have a very sizable supportive side of the audience and I very rarely see this hate watching audience they talk about.
A lot of what Julian said and how he characterized it was very weird and sounded like him relaying a story he was told. Like the part where he talks about the person who doesn't believe their story who says "well you guy sare just lying again because you are fa-I you are lying again because you are gay."
It's just an extremely weird thing to insinuate happened at all and if it did that the exchange happened like that.

I believe Julian's past stuff (at least on Twitch) has been subscriber only for ages. He was slightly ahead of the curve there at least.
In reality, and what he kind of tried to explain, is that they had fans who would drop them upon learning they were gay or liberal or whatever. Which is normal because you can't please everyone and there's always gonna be retards out there. But the big thing being that they had more of these fans than most creators because they always downplayed the whole gay/liberal thing during eps, so they were a couple of "the good ones." At the same time, they themselves downplayed any sort of gay/liberal/political/whatever shit because they both know it's cancerous to make it a prominent part of your personality when you're sitting in a room playing games with your friends and making funny noises.
They're also amalgamating every fan they don't like to make it seem like "hatewatchers" are the majority. To most people, the following examples would be seen as separate people and not all of them would be hatewatchers - "I think faggot is a funny word" "Don't shove your homosexuality in my face" "I vote republican" "I've been stalking you since the timothytuba days" "Faggots and trannies like you should kill themselves" "You were funnier on oneyplays". To DD&J, these are all hate watchers.

idk what julian is going on about. he and DD sound like they're in a cult or something. i've seen this happen with couples who dont get out of the house enough, they develop these private codependent delusions, like little domestic conspiracy theories where both people encourage and reinforce it and it grows and grows.
sad -- and also, just stupid.
7k a month is p good money. i would happily absorb the exact amount of "hate" those 2 get for that kind of guaranteed income disconnected from any actual work. however, i would not take the painful paranoia as part of the deal...

It was towards the very end of the stream. Maybe last 20 minutes or so.
I don't think he meant it to sound that bad, I think it was more meant to be in line with their stance about not liking being recognized more for OneyPlays than their mountain of unreleased creative works.
However the way he referred to it and avoided saying the name of the channel came off a little odd.

Probably just people calling him a lolcow/sadcow. I'm sure it sucks for them to hear it, but when your stream catalog slowly turns from playing video games/gamedev to 8-12 hour vent sessions which become more unhinged with every stream, you can and will remind people of
