If the stuff they talked about was true, I cant really blame them for becoming bitter, paranoid and sheltered. They went through some horrible shit together, shit thats hard to bounce back from for the likes of DD & J. They both made it clear that its fucked them mentally.

That 7k a month (which is destined to drop to 1-2k in the coming years) isnt going to undo years of getting put down. It's just sad but I can understsnd it.

Pretty sure it's just the channel and not Chris himself. I looked into it a little. I am pretty sure they are still friends, good friend even. Hell Chris might be one of the few people they still trust. They hate the channel because it took over their identities, they became known as 'the guys on Oneyplays' and all the raving fans that came with that. They only ever had good things to say about Chris, how he basically saved them from being homeless and gave them an income.

The only times where they seem to not like him are in one of their vague comments on stream where they mention no names. They may have had tension with him during the Dream Daddy fiasco, as Chris never publicly supported them but there is no confirmation of this. Honestly being mad at Chris for not showing support would be petty, it's not like he worked on Dream Daddy, he was only friends with Arin and rented the GG offices for his let's plays. There could be more vague mentions of Chris in their hour long vents but nothing stuck out to me (from the ones I listened too). Even if there was beef, they obviously got over it because they came back to do Oneystays.

Oney is most likely playing the shit out of it right now, even if the footage won't be uploaded. He's a complete HP sperg. The Gmod RP videos were pretty fun.

Both of their playthroughs of Chamber of Secrets make it pretty obvious Chris enjoys the world of HP. Shame neither of them got finished, but I put that down to the games more than anything.

Yeah, this isn't a new sentiment, it's something they've talked about years before, even while they were still on Oneyplays. I remember them talking specifically about being called, "The Funniboys" or some shit like that.

Right, I was just pointing out that avoiding naming OneyPlays seems like a bit much to me and sends some strange signals.
Not being willing to mention by name the very popular let's play channel you were on while streaming to your relatively small audience who are probably all aware that you were on said LP channel just seems odd.

I dont know what DD & J hoped for. They havent done anything significant outside of Oneyplays to be known for. They havent released a single game.

This is my fucking problem exactly.
DD's past is mostly just LPs he doesnt' want to be associated with, writing snarky reviews and tuba vore.
Julian isn't too different.

And like you said they haven't done anything significant since leaving OnePlays.
If they want to be Dingdong and Julian of Wanwan Games, that's great, but they need to put something out first.
I have no problem with OneyPlays being a footnote or stepping stone in their career but they have to do something about it.

What I'm saying is, where's Trigger Treat mother fuckers.

I know they retired the projec, but putting out something a little smaller to start with would have helped with their want to be known for other things.

Do we actually know why they canned trigger treat though? I somewhat remember DD or J saying it was a project they were working on for someone else or something along those lines.
