On that note: does anyone else have a hard time watching any letsplayer do a game you actually like/are good at? Maybe I'm just a sperg but I can only watch the boys, or anyone else, do games I've never played or don't like. I have a few exceptions like Chirs' og darksouls LP, but for the most part I can't stand to watch people be dogshit at a game I'm familiar with.
I had a minor autism fit watching them play Left 4 Dead 2 because all of them were so terrible at it. You can reliably beat most campaigns on advanced with a bunch of randos if you're not playing like an absolute retard and refuse to help/heal your teammates like they did.

Darks Souls 2: The Cat Episode.

I love to shit on DS2 as much as any other retard, but its worth a full play. I'd argue it's got the most build diversity and the most freedom in achieving those builds in as little time as possible out of all the games in Froms library. It's also the easiest by far. Bonus points for having the, arguably, best fashion in the series.
DS2 has problems but all of these games do. I don't think they are even more glaring than most of the other Souls games it's just the game that feels the most different.
But honestly it's become maybe my second favorite game in the series after DS1 and I just find it to be the most fun to go back to semi regularly because I always find new weird things or have a build I never thought of trying before.
I kind of don't want to watch this series because I feel like DS2 is somewhat unfairly maligned at this point while people also ignore the problems of the games that have come out since.

I’m quite thankful the boys are playing through DS2. I hate playing that shitslop of a game so much I can’t finish half of it, but almost everything about it looks really cool. now that they’re going through it (and probably won’t quit) I can experience the whole game without wanting to blow my brains out.

DingDong is streaming right now on YouTube.

Edit: The description said they finished coding which impressed me thinking they actually followed through with Tough Bippy when I was sure it'd be vaporware. However, they apparently just started a different rhythm game for whatever reason just like all the waffling with Trigger Treat and other failed projects. Truly them ever finishing a real game is a pipe-dream.

I hate to defend this but I get it. You invest a shitload of time into a project, you get over a hurdle with it and you get to a certain level of completion with it but by that point you're so mentally exhausted you switch to something else and hope to return to the original project later.

Once you actually start working in creative spaces (especially in game development) you almost instantly realize "oh, that's why it takes so long" and "oh, that's how easy things can go wrong." Bemoaning the money and timesink that was/still is Bippy is completely valid but I still completely understand why this happens. I could be snarky, take the easy route and say "because it's grifting" but I honestly believe DD is just psychologically unwell and has trouble prioritizing things while also balancing his myriad mental health issues. Really hoping this rhythm game gives him the kick he needs, the little stuff they showed of their previous projects did look really good for early development.

I just want bonefist to be as much of a meme as moonlight greatsword man.
