I've known Chris through animations like Hellbenders, Dragonzball P, Harry Potter etc., while Youtube recommended me the Crash Bandicoot 2 playthrough while it was still early. Never looked back cause I was entertained for many years nearly daily.

I like Adam but I also feel like if you don't think he's funny he is far less obnoxious and easier to tune out then Cory. Cory gets right up next to the mic and fucking yells into it. He's almost always the first person to say something in an episode he's in and he doesn't shut up. He dominates the majority of videos he's in. Adam is much more background.
Look, I like watching select clips of Adam. Watching Adam playthroughs though is pretty much looking at grass grow while Corey playthroughs on the other hand is basically a chihuahua screaming for attention while shitting and ruining every series he goes in. It has to be all about him, sonic, or some thing he wants to fuck. That is all the interaction he does, while the other hosts engage in shitty but entertaining hypotheticals, shitty but funny or amazing voice acting, trivia discussions/gaslighting etc. Those are engaging to me as a viewer. Corey has overused his joke of being THE fucking gooner, sonic addicted autist to the point that there is no more left to explore. However, him explaining his time working for machinima in that one sonic playthrough with Chris and Zach is the best of him that I can tolerate, as well as the two music making streams, those are actually good. Those are the most engaged I had been with him cause its informational to me. But anything else? Fuck no.
He had THE one thing going, he was THE oney clips guy for me, and what did he end up doing? Weird culture war shit. Lost some of my favorite clip compilations with the Sam Hyde posting he did that got him nuked the first time. Gonna start archiving some of my favorite compilations like the full KH Donald and Goofy impersonations, those were the best.
That full Goofy compilation through got me through one of the worst hangovers I've had

I have the opposite reaction. Corey and his rants are easier to tune out unless he's screaming, but Adam is so aggressively retarded and his Pamperchu-esque voice is grating, especially when he's trying to read the most basic sentences in the Undertale playthrough.
I've spoken to him a little. He seems to have gone really far into his own internet rabbithole these days. I hope he isn't too isolated.

I only have fond memories of the Jon era. During that time I started discovering a lot of youtubers and it was when GG was still a side project for Arin and Jon. Before Arin wanted to turn it into a giant company ( of two dudes who talk over video games ) it felt like two friends relieving their past and having a good time. Donkey Kong country 1 was a great series that encompasses the Jon era. Fun times, Arin and Jon arguing over game design, and actually focusing to beat the game.
With Adam I can totally see why other people would find him annoying. I personally like him but I respect others peoples opinions if they don't. I could see how the whole braindead dumb guy stoner shtick would not appeal to everyone.
That's pretty much all they had going for them, Jontron and all that. Though for me the early Dan era videos could be pretty entertaining too. I remember laughing pretty hard at the Mickey Mouse episode where they kept mimicking Irate Gamer. So yes, nostalgia's talking.
