I've been putting the DD&J era videos on for background noise for the past few weeks and they reference it a lot. I don't recall the exact episode but Chris says he likes RBG, but "doesn't like watching it", and says that the Minecraft series was the last one he liked or something along those lines.

Lyle has always been left leaning but back when I first started following him in 2012, he was so Anti-PC you couldn't really tell which way he leaned. I've said this in another post but Him, Kyle and Phil were so goddamn funny on twitch ( when it was good ) because they had no filter. He's always disliked Religion, Guns and and the like. He was never as whiny as he his now. After 2016 election broke a lot of people's minds and even more since 2020.

I’m gonna go out on a limb and guess that Salty’s seething over the fact that Chris has gotten mainstream success (work on Smiling Friends and that Tenacious D music video for example) despite being so TAWXIC and PROBLEMATIC, whereas he’s gotten nowhere with his milquetoast safe-edgy band kid humor and incessant pandering to alphabet people.
I swear I remember someone describing salty as a crab in a bucket somewhere in the past and this only reaffirms that as true to me.

Some time in April/May 2020 he got very triggered over Chris responding to some shitty comic that I'm sure I saw at the time but I cannot for the life of me care to look it up. Same passive aggressive bitch behavior from him. Choice quotes include saying that Chris "has a lot of privilege" and "doesn't care about the precedent he sets." Holy fuck what a fag.
He still had some love by December of that year though. No idea what made him sperg out again, gotta be some existential crisis realizing he hasn't achieved anything of note like others in this thread have already pointed out.
