What are some of the rare Corey moments you actually like?
I have Corey fatigue, but I will be the first to recognize that can be pretty up there on those arguments that get heated for no reason. I personally put this almost on par with the Hypothetical Tiny Perfect Clone of Hitler debacle.

Lyle has released a cartoon pilot
still haven't watched all of it but there's a small Dexter Manning cameo in the start which is a fun sanity not included reunion

If they didn't confine the show to a single room with some weird large fetus man and gave the show even a minor plot it would be an improvement, but just playing an idiot character and talking about random things that lead no where isn't going to bring in the laughs. I understand what he's trying to do, he even put in the description "it's like Space Ghost and Metalocalypse" but it's not funny.

The thing that bothers me most is the obnoxious camera changes, constant, dramatic, punctuating zooms for basically nothing. It'd honestly be funnier if the camera was flat for the most part. Lyle's design is also awful. Seriously he's like 30+ at this point, you should be making your animated self insert dress your age.

...And weight...

I enjoy Lyle on the show because he has some good bits and I find that his personality is a good contrast to everyone else's, but he is just so aggressively unfunny on his own.

As an avowed "Lyle Isn't Really All That Terrible or Great" opinion-haver, I would say he's funnier in a heavily scripted setting like Pregame Discharge than he is in improvisational situations like OneyPlays. I think that's why he isn't usually as funny with the other Oney boys, he's taking time trying to think up structured jokes with set-ups and punchlines, then Zach and Chris just shit on him with quick, spontaneous humor. He'd honestly probably be more successful as a script writer for someone else rather than trying to make his own stuff.
This pilot seems like it relies on both scripting and improv, and so it ends up pretty mid, but I guess we'll see how it progresses and which aspect they decide to focus on. Either way though, I doubt it will be very successful, just like most other projects Lyle attempts.

Back when Destructoid, a video game news and "journalism" site, was in it's peak they would regularly feature two videos on their front page. One was Hey Ash, Whatcha Playing, that was terrible and inflicted both Ashley and Anthony Burch on us for years to come.

The other was Pre-game Discharge, made by Lyle, and even in that somewhat niche community it didn't make all that many waves. People watched it, sure, considering how many years it ran, but I never saw any community talk about his show because it was painfully unfunny. That's always been what I've thought of Lyle even in OneyPlays. He's there, but he can be pretty unfunny and he's never why I watch a video.

I also won't watch his pilot, considering he's still using the same avatar from the pre-game discharge videos in the thumbnail. I'm just going to assume it's more of the same.

Agreed. He can be quick on his own at times but he can't play off other people or keep a bit going. The biggest laughs he has gotten out of me were his one-off improvisations (the tomar rap comes to mind), or when he's just telling stories about the crazy shit that happens to him.
