It must be awkward now that Dingdong has gotten so weird about everything Oneyplays.
 
On one of the recent David the Slaved streams they got a question asking if the would play Vampire the masquerade bloodlines, and Chris said he was interested.
While I think it would be cool to see them play the original for one or two episodes I realized they would probably play the terrible sequel that’s slated to release this year.
If it is the sequel they play I only hope Zach tags in to shit all over it like forspoken or the marvel game.

Late but the problem with anime english dubs is that the voice directors sucks ass and japanese dialogue and what not does not translate to natural english dialogue (or most likely the translators suck at their job). The only time dubs were good or tolerable is when the anime setting is free of japanese culture, like fullmetal alchemist or black lagoon.
While prefer I prefer subs, listening to japanese voice actors trying to speak engrish makes me cringe lol

Another problem in the industry now is localizers explicitly changing the dialogue to insert memes or western politics. Like the Prison School dub added a GamerGate reference, Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid added a reference to "the male gaze," and Nagatoro adding "sus." The YouTuber JelloApocalypse managed to get a job working on localizing the anime Lovely Complex, and he started saying the quiet part out loud. Admitting that they were modifying the source material because it was "transphobic" and they were "improving" the original work.

It's ultimately a multifaceted issue. There are far too many reasons and examples that it would unnecessarily clog up the thread. If you can move past the subjectivity of "well I just think they sound better" you'd see that the anime dub ecosystem is almost setup for failure. There's little to no money to be made, the majority of actors make their money on the convention circuit or have to make the leap to domestic animation or video games. There's lots of resentment build up by having to do that and several other factors as well (feeling above the material, not liking the people who like anime, etc). There's no budget for the dubs in general which leads to lots of sloppy mistakes, no time to fine tune direction or acting, etc. The sort of people who end up in anime didn't quite make it elsewhere so they'll use anime as means to an end to satisfy their creative means. Which how we end up with localizers or script writers for dubs who will take perfectly serviceable scripts and "punch 'em up". It's how you get Dragon Maid by Jaime Marchi who doesn't speak Japanese; she thumbed through the translated script and added stupid changes like the male gaze shit. And so on.
 
Dave mentioned once that he made some joke about Friday Night Funkin Deep Lore and it appeared on the wiki the next day, so I like to imagine there's some cadre of weird FNF zoomers that don't like any of the OneyPlays guys but religiously and immediately watch every second of Dave's appearances on the channel in case he talks about FNF.

Oh without a fucking doubt Adam is a legitimate retard that's still living off of his parent's money and he's by far the worst cast member to ever be on oneyplays because the only time he's ever funny is completely by accident. He's talked about growing up in japan and living somewhere in europe before (sweden maybe?) so his parents clearly have plenty of cash to just bounce all over the planet for decades. It makes me wonder if Chris is getting paid to watch over him too.

If I were to rank the Oneyplays cast I would have to go with:

S- Zach, Tomar, DingDong.

A- Cory, Lyle.

B- Julian.

C- Dave.

D- Adam.

E- The one off guests who didn't have enough time to leave an impression.

The only people to make Chris laugh as hard and act as goofy as Ding Dong have been Zach and Cory, Ding Dong is genuinely funny because he's the perfect straight man to Chris' manchild energy, their chemistry is amazing and their lets plays are my favorites because of it.

Dave is annoying because he always does the same annoying stupid asshole bit where he intentionally plays the game wrong to be annoying over and over and it's as old and boring as it gets and Adam is just a half wit who has never once been funny on purpose in his life and it's just a chore to sit through his episodes so he's dead last as a core member by default.
