I will excuse Pools because the lack of action or anything interesting going on made them just have a normal conversation, making it feel like a modern Sleepycast episode.

I see your point, I just wish it wasn't a Boney Plays video. Do that shit in June or something. If it has the Boney Plays intro I expect it to have some sort of scares/spooks, not just wandering around a pool before opening hours. Liminal horror has been a catastrophe for online horror. I'd rather go back to the days of "HYPER REALISTIC BLOOD POURING FROM HYPER REALISTIC EYES HYPER REALISTICALLY"
Or just do more horror game content regardless of what month it is.
 
Cory is the type of person who I'd otherwise despise. He's a tranny-fucker, perverted porn peddler, screeching autist. But he's just too endearing to me. I don't know what it is about him. Maybe it's all nostalgia from the old NG/YouTube animation days, maybe it's because he's otherwise unpolitical and doesn't GAF about anything, but he just makes me smile and laugh.

Oh what I would give to know what he said that made even Zach and Chris blush.

As a concept I can get behind liminal horror, but the setting has to be correct. Pools was boring, nothing but "SLOSH SLOSH SLOSH" and exploring emptiness. There was never even a hint of anything being scary so there was nothing for your brain to latch onto beyond "being alone is scary". The game would have been a million times more effective if you were in a parking garage trying to find your car and realize that the door you entered doesn't exist anymore. There is the possibility of lots of dark corners, creaking noises, general atmosphere of "I feel unsafe" instead of just "I feel lost". There's an actual goal, and the "lose condition" is that you never find your car and die there. Give the player their phone for a flashlight and once the battery runs out, it runs out forever.

Pools is just lazy.
