No because in order to genocide run you have to actively go out of your way to pace around in every area killing shit until "but nobody came" shows up. It's a bitch to do just for fighting sans at the end because it just becomes a slog of waiting. Self defense just gets you the neutral route ending.
I know. But it is literally mechanically impossible for the player character to initiate combat. A random encounter in the game is a monster seeing you and attacking you to kill you until you neutralize it, either with violence or by unlocking the mercy command. And the neutral ending, while less gay about it, still has "erm, that wasn't heckin wholesome 100 of you." shit. If the genocide run ever has any dialogue acknowledging that the PC was only able to kill monsters because she kept getting jumped, I've never seen it. The genocide run has a 4th-wall breaking assumption that the player is walking around in a video game to provoke random encounters to kill monsters thus making the player at fault. Hence why I call it pseudo-intellectual meta bullshit.

I already told you you have to go out of your way to provoke random encounters to kill monsters in every area till the game says "but nobody came". to get genocide run. You literally cannot have an accidental genocide run. You need to actively be fucking killing at an intentional level beyond mere level grinding to fucking get genocide ending. YOU NEED TO GO OUT OF YOUR WAY TO GET IT NIGGA THAT'S WHY IT'S META

I know you cannot get an accidental genocide run. You seem to think I'm complaining that the game is unfair or something. That's not what I'm saying.
What I'm saying is that the game does not have a consistent internal narrative. In the story of the game, what happens in a genocide run? A lost human child winds up underground, gets possessed by some evil spirit or some shit (I'm fuzzy on this part), and then kills all the monsters. But what is happening in the game? Since the game works on JRPG random encounter mechanics, monsters are routinely attacking unprovoked and trying to kill a human child on the orders of the king; that is explicitly how the battle system works. The player character never initiates combat in areas where there are no random encounters and were she to do nothing in a random encounter, she would be killed by her monster assailant(s). In a genocide run, the human child kills the monster(s) in the ensuing combat and then stays in the area until all the monsters willing to try to kill her have died in combat with her. Obviously, this is deliberate on the part of the player, but how is it deliberate on the part of the character? Is a person morally compelled to leave an area where they know people might try to kill them and thus be killed in self-defense? This confuses the issue of the character being some kind of slaughter-happy maniac; there is no mechanic to initiate combat or kill those unwilling to attempt to kill you first. The game seems to be trying to send a message about the use or nature of violence, but any claim that the player character did anything wrong doesn't acknowledge the fact that the character literally can't initiate combat per the mechanics of the game. Dialogue in the genocide run that condemns the player character is thus either directed at the player character, in which case it doesn't make sense (or, at best, lacks nuance) because the player character can only attack those who have attacked her or it's directed at the player, in which case the writing is refusing to engage with the story occurring in the game. It's like choosing to play Evil Cole in inFamous and your PS3 saying "Erm, that wasn't very nice of you Mr. Player, don't make Cole kill those people." Whether it's just poorly written or, as I said, meta 4th-wall bullshit, it's shit writing.
And none of this has anything to do with the fact that the characters of Undertale are giga-cringe in a way Chris can't stand. Which is why they probably won't play Deltarune.

The bingbong child gets posessed because you while playing the game (as the kid) keep killing everything till there's nothing left. Evil attracts evil. Simple as.

The main character in the genocide run is actually Donald Trump and the underground is Gaza
