Pokemon ZA felt so restrained, I wonder how much making fun of and complaining about the game was removed through the cuts.

Tbf The Pokémon Company International is super super strict copyright whores about even the slightest things. You so much as breathe they will pounce on you.

We know most of the complaints came from Tomar. Even with the cuts, he always had something negative to say. He was pretty quite at the beginning. I can image he was building up his rage and let out a mighty roar when the game was 30 minutes in and they still couldn't catch Pokémon.
 
I heard that Tomar was going to be in some AI call videos but they had to drop the footage since they couldnt top the horrible things he's done already

Well this playthrough is gonna last for 2 episodes because after the HOUR LONG TUTORIAL there's nothing left except shitty game graphics and just busy work. Also let my boy Tomar cook. He says what everyone's thinking.....
 
It is pretty funny that Pokémon is the only turn-based game that can still produce games that don't have dialogue or cutscene skip. I wonder why they still do that since you can't return games you buy in the eshop and stores these days don't have a return policy for games, so who cares if people find out there's only like 3 hours of gameplay. They treat it like we still have game rentals.

I honestly think it's because they want you to play the game ONCE, then spend the rest of your time in the postgame. Game Freak have always wanted Pokemon to be a parallel world to the real one and making the beginning of the game such a chore just enforces how they want the Pokemon world to exist.

It's a single player game that they treat like an MMO.

This is it, I finished Pokemon Violet a couple of weeks ago, and by "finished" I mean I completed the main story. They have DLC but after that the intended endgame is to complete the pokedex so you can get a special item to increase Shiny chance for bred pokemon. Nobody wants to do that shit so turns out sites sell hacked shiny pokemon and advertise by Wonder Trading (it's called Surprise Trading now) hacked shiny pokemon named shit like monforge.gg. The hacked pokemon can't be renamed since they are traded lol but their goal is to get five bucks from someone who just REALLY wants their favorite pokemon with perfect stats and shiny.

They let you do a tournament after you beat the game and it's repeatable, so at least there's that.
 
Honestly if you still like pokemon at this point then more power to you I guess. But to the layman (me) who hasn't played it since gen 2 it looks like such slop. It really feels like Nintendo and Gamefreak have done everything possible to rape their franchise for ??? reasons, knowing people will just buy it anyway.
